Only way I got my wifi tether to work was with barnacle in the market. And check skip supplicant option, I had to anyways for it to work. So it may help some people til the roms get updated to fix wifi tether. :)

Edit: I'm using 6.0.1 btw. I previously used insertcoins and had to also use barnacle to work. But I love Mike's roms way more.

Thanks for checking. SOmeone mentioned here that Barnacle Wifi Tether from Market works, however Im back to 4.1.11 and cannot confirm this at the moment.. been going to and from 6.0.1 and 4.1.11..

Can you possibly have a quick try with your Sensation and GTAB? :)

Thanks!
Thanks for the tip. I will check that.

Edit: Barnacle Wifi Tether works. But I had a soft reboot right after disconnectiong my Tab and trying to switch the screen back on of my phone after that. Trying again with 1,2 GHz, although my Sensation runs good with 1,7 GHz on faux kernel and GB ROMs.

Just flashed new firmware from Kohr-Ah (no need to supercid) and new ROM (6.0.1) and forgot to superwipe. Everything working fine so far, coming from 5.0.2.. Anyone else did this? Am I supposed to experience any bugs in the near future? Experiences?

Hi,

I install 6.0.1 xe version (on my standart sensation) with 1.5 Ghz Kernel, and had got a problem : can't modify homescreen (widget, app)

I reinstall 6.0.1 xe version, with 1.2 Ghz Kernel, and i can modify my homescreen now !

Kernel problem ?

Thanks a lot.

T-MobileUS Wi-fi Calling Patch

Here's an updated patch that I just made for TmoUS wi-fi calling app. This includes all the libs as well as a modified build.prop to actually allow the wi-fi calling app to work. I hope y'all enjoy. )I made it for the XE version but just follow the instructions and it will work for the non-XE as well)

Updated instructions in my thread!

I think i know why xda app fc's for some people. Install adfree from market and disable your ad's. Reboot your phone. I think it's caused by ad's.

As it is confirmed to be working since 6.0.1 you may still be on 6.0.0? More infos would be helpful.
Which is why I'm so frustrated. I'm on 6.0.1. I installed both non-xe and xe. I flashed the firmware (or else it won't even boot, right?) and I superwiped prior. I don't get it!

Hmmm does the rom feel smoother than the 4.0.1 base with 1.5ghz kernel?

5.01 xe --> 6.01 xe

Hello Mike,

I'm already on 5.02 XE, so if I want to go to 6.01 XE, do I need to Superwipe or just upgrade firmware and flash 6.01 on top?

My second question; when the source for ICS is released and you will work with that; will there be an update or do you already know if it needs superwiping again to install. When the last scenario would be the case I might sit this one out cause 5.02 XE is working already stable for me and battery life is good. Installing all apps again (ok, with Titanium backup), configurating all things and placing all icons back on the homescreens does cost quite some time. It would be a waste when a '7' based ROM version is on the way.

Keep up the good work.

Greetz,

Erik

Sorry to quote myself but I have to so everybody understands.

I've just flashed 6.0.1 again with 1,2 GHz kernel and updated my GTab to pershoot's new kernel.

Barnacle is running fine now and I had no reboot like before. Hope that this will stay like that.

The problem with Barnacle's is that WiFi won't be turned on again after use of tehtering.

Wipe is a must when ever base changes.

Yes you will need to wipe in both your cases.

Thankx for the quick reply. I'll sit this one out cause since there is no open source there will probably be no very good improvements, they will come when the source is released and Mike can work with that.

Then one more question. People who own a non-XE model can use a different kernel so they can work on 1,5GHz. Does this also work the other way around? I'm having a Sensation XE and for me 1,2GHz is working already quick enough. So can I use the 1,2GHz kernel and will it work on 1,2GHz then. It might lead to better battery life.
