Okay, this kernel maybe fast but is a sh*t:

i removed /system/etc/PowerOn.ogg and now it's a damn voodoo-bootloop! convert data partition - backup operation - restore operation - voodoo lagfix is now activated
no logcat enabled, and no ability to enable it.

in recovery it realy thinks it'a s RFS file system! and no damn ability to change, or force mount it as ext4.

Edit: removed symlink for mount - that maybe a cause too, but anyway - none of the speedmod kernels have such damn issue!

How nice of you to **** on someone else's hard work. Maybe you should be a little more tactful in how you 'report' issues. Please learn how to report items and stop trying to be a jerk about what you don't like about it.

What launcher is this ROM using?

I believe it is the Touchwiz launcher, but not positive. On the home screen I would like to change the "email" launcher button to the "gmail" one, but I can't seem to figure it out. I get the "gmail" icon on the home screen but can't drop it onto the quicklaunch area. Can anyone tell me if there is a settings menu available for TW to change these things?

I am sure I'm using the wrong names to refer to these things, so please be gentle :D.

BTW, thanks TK for making this one of the best ROMs I've loaded onto my captivate. I am finally getting good battery life. I'm averaging 2-3% drain per hour... Sound quality is superb... Stable as all get out... I'm loving it.

Thanks.

Don

So, my GPS is still completely unusable (always has been), and there are a few mentions to "Video Call" in places, as another member has already mentioned.

BUT, this is a wonderfully stable and smooth ROM/Kernel, and I just wanted to thank all those who worked on it.

its a modified touchwiz. should be able to go into your app drawer, hit menu, view type and select customizable, then hit menu again and edit. then drag the app down into the dock that you want

Updates and Maintained features:
  • 5 lock-screens
  • TKVoodoo control (Team Komin's Voodoo control app)
  • Kernel support UI (Back-light Notification and Voodoo Sound)
  • MTM Gingerbread Keyboard wp7
  • Titanium Backup
  • Nexus Revamped Live Wallpaper
  • Simi Clock
  • BLN Control
  • BattStatt
  • TAJM
  • Car Home
  • AppWidgetPicker
  • Spare Parts
I might have missed something here. After flashing I realized that a couple of the apps were missing namely:
  • TKVoodoo control (Team Komin's Voodoo control app)
  • Simi Clock
  • BLN Control
  • BattStatt
  • SGS Tools
Do I have to install them myself or was it suppose to be included with the rom itself?

Thanks PG... I found the answer after posting my question... I should've googled my question first, but wasn't positive which launcher this uses...

Thanks again.

open up the zip file for the rom.
inside you should see a data folder, then an app folder inside that
all the apks should be there, and flashing the rom should have installed them. what did you do differently after flashing the rom? did you try a different kernel? one that uses ULF instead of voodoo? or did you wipe /data after you flashed the rom?

Stock Kernel from the Andromeda3-Final.zip file. I think I might have wipe/data after flashing the rom. Does that mean I will have to flash it over again? Or just extract the apk's and put it into the app folder in the phone?

wiping /data is pointless after you flash a rom. essentially all you did was wipe the apps and gps conf file that were provided with the rom.

you can push those directories to your /data folder on your phone
app and gps

Power button takes a picture. it does not focus. Focus is auto-focus when you tap on the screen.

There are no bugs in this rom... None that we can reproduce.

I have not been able to reproduce a single bug. Even the restoration of Angry Birds.. it's likely that they were using an out-dated version of Titanium Backup or the "experimental" mode in Titanium Backup, or they were trying to restore a 2.3 data from their experiment with CyanogenMod. Angry birds plays just fine on our phones. We can backup and restore any game. I've tried multiple ROMs and have never experienced this problem. Of course, I've kept Titanium Backup up-to-date, never used experimental mode, and I've never made a backup when using the forever-beta CyanogenMod.

You can restore over your ROM. It will wipe the data and you can use titanium backup to restore anything. You can use one of the skins mentioned in this thread to get the orange back. We do not 'officially' support them as we do not make them, however there's no real harm in changing skins. Skin support is provided by skin developers.
Thanks, I will try it as soon as i figure out how to make my back up easier. Sent my HP Envy 17 back for the 5th time:( and that's where I had everything backed up.
This noob appreciates your work.

My corporate email won't work with this ROM.It works with MIUI and other ROMs.It says cannot connect to server. It says setup couldn't finish and unable to connect to server.
I flashed till now 10 types of ROMs and never had this problem.
Anything I need to do ?

Just wanted to say thanks guys! I have been flashing many roms but keep coming back to this one. I completely agree with your only 'bug', that there are too many hyped about Cyanogen. This rom was made for this phone. Cyanogen, while near ASOP, cannot- and may never- support the closed Samsung drivers needed to make this phone work to it's full potential. I tried the CM7 beta, and know that it is a WIP, but feel that it will never nail it like you guys have.

That said, if the CM7 Cappy team can pull it off, I'll gladly eat my words and tip my hat to them!

I am trying to replace Email.apk from a different ROM.But when I opened File Linda manager to replace the one in the system/app folder, all it has R(read-only) permissions. Even though I can replace it, looks like the old file still exists. Any ideas how to change that?
