Hello everyone,
If you guys are coming from Samsung Galaxy S II, you all have heard about Batista Rom, the developer angelrom or batista70 has yet created a new rom for Samsung Galaxy Note, the details are as follows :

Changelog:

• Inserting AbyssNote 1.0 kernel
• Compiled from source with Samsung KJ6 update to 2.6.35.14 based
• Selectable frequencies:
• 1600-1400-1200-1000-800-500-200-100
• Frequency standard boot: 1400/200
• Governor: ondemand ondemandx, interactive, interactivex, smartass, smartassv2, performance, powersave, conservative.
• ondemand start fast and deep sleep detection on low-power idle
• Possible to change the processor voltages and frequencies through SetCPU
• GPU clock and voltage control
• I / O schedulers available: BFQ v3, SIO, CFQ, deadline, VR, noop
• Application Support Tegrak 2nd core
• Jhash V3
• Hard floats enabled
• Posted Tweak sharpness screen
• Submissions battery saving tweaks
• Added tweak to deep sleep
• Fixed all warnings
• Supports CIFS, NTFS, NLS
• Car efs enabled backups (backup / data / .Abyss) battery and calibration

Kernel :

AbyssNote Kernel v1.5

• Fix for 50Mhz frequency
• Enabled intellimand governor
• Disabled luizactive governor
• Ashmem fix
• Ondemand, conservative governor tweaks modified
• BLN kernel support enabled (even though we have to change liblights.c, for now
  with BLN the LEDs do not work properly)
• Changed optimizations

Installation procedure:

Copy the rom downloaded from the link on the SD or USB memory on the phone
Enter CWM Recovery and select install zip from SD Card
Choose select zip from sdcard (sdcard or internal)
Flash the ROM zip file
Restart.

WORD OF CAUTION
This will remove root and you may not be able to run programs needing Superuser privileges.

Great ROM, installed it yesterday, but it seems to eat much more battery than with the stock ROM. CPU Spy shows that the processor is using the maximum frequency very often and doesn't enter properly into deep sleep. But, for a first custom ROM for our Note I think it's great .

ATTENZIONE: Dopo aver flashato il kernel, per entrare in recovery CW occorreranno ora 20-30 secondi perchè sono stati inseriti dei controlli.
Quindi non allarmarsi se per un pò lo schermo rimane nero. La recovery dopo 20-30 secondi apparirà

Yes I used it jst for lowering the voltage, but setcpu hasn't anything to do with higher power drain.

Maybe the new kernel will sort things out.
