I'm familiar with rooting my old HTC, but my S6 Edge (925F) is still stock. I want to install this ROM, but I have a few questions. I'd be grateful if any of you clever forum folk would put me straight regarding the following:

I updated to 5.1.1 using the OTA update. I've read that this locks the bootloader (or something hideous like that) and makes rooting a problem. Will I still be able to flash this ROM? (my phone is baseband G925FXXU2B0GE/kernel 3.10.61-5012324/firmware LMY47X.G925FXXUB0GB)

This ROM is pre-rooted, which is a new term to me. Does it mean I can flash this ROM without having to root my phone? Does it somehow install root permission as part of the flashing process? Will I still need to unlock the phone?

Can I flash this ROM by just loading the zip via recovery? Is this available on the recommended Philz Recovery?

1. For rooting your device, Follow the link below...

2. Install TWRP or Philz recovery via odin

3. download the Rom, flash it via recovery

4. Enjoy....

Thanks for the above advice. This root method uses Uni Kernel. Once I've achieved root, can i switch to the kernel recommended for this ROM?

That's correct, you can switch to arter kernel without any problem. I'm currently on arter v4.1. Fast and smooth!!!!
