"SystemupdateService" for the AOKP from October is now sometimes taking up 1.5 - 3% battery per hour.

Does anyone know how to fix the battery drain? I see the post here but I dont know what to do:
https://plus.google.com/+BillBlankenship/posts/ENv6GkPQMtg

"System Update Service" is already disabled when I use the app "Disable Service"

EDIT: I found it. Use the app "Autostart Manager", choose "show System apps", go to Google Play Services and disabled the receiver he mentions: "systemupdateservice$secret code receiver""
But it would not save the changes. So I used "Autostarts" , search 'secret', click on the one that says something like "secret code receiver" and that did it.

But the battery wont stop draining. The update service is still keeping the device awake.

Where is AOKP 5.X? There's so many other roms being made of all kinds for the Nexus 4 and AOKP, one of the most famous ones is still on 4.4.4. :(, 6 or 7 months ago.

I'm looking into other roms now.

I'm wanting to search for one where I can customize the Nav bar with custom buttons with their own images as buttons, like AOKP had.

It is slowly being worked on but the main Dev behind aokp was hired by CM so don't expect much. Also lots of changes in 5.x that make that far more difficult

I see.

I switched to Simple AOSP yesterday and it works pretty good so far.
It feels much faster too. When I'm in the reddit app, it opens Youtube faster.
The features I wanted are simple (need a "screen off" shortcut on Nav bar and the ability to display date/ day of week on Status bar) and it has these features.
