Clock problem-resets 7 hrs. ahead

As noted some pages ago, there seems to be a bug by which the clock resets itself to 7 hours later than the correct time.

I reviewed the discussion earlier in the thread and followed the proposed solution of unchecking the Automatic Home Clock setting. It worked immediately, but a short time later, the problem occurred again.

Has a better solution been suggested that I missed in my researching the problem?

Thanks in advance.

Isn't this just the auto time zone bug?

Fully wipe your device and try again.
i did that and it worked fine for 3-4 hrs, then i was changing some options in ROM Control putting things back the way i wanted and got the ROM Control has stopped working pop-up error.

i rebooted the phone, but it got stuck at the boot animation...after trying a few things, clearing cache/restarting & reflashing/restarting to no avail, i had to do a complete wipe again & luckily that worked.

not sure why a ROM Control crash would make my phone get stuck at the boot animation.

As I noted my post, I went into Settings and unchecked Automatic Home Clock as recommended, but after a short period of the correct time following a reboot, the clock moves ahead 7 hours.

Can you tell me the "easy" fix you mention?

Much appreciated.

.

follow up. got my phone back to how i wanted it, but then at some point in the last hr it restarted itself & got stuck at the SGSII screen.

restoring my nandroid...hopefully that will fix it...otherwise, my S2 may be on it's last legs.

It reverts to +00:00 time, i.e. I'm in the -04:00 timezone, so it advances my clock by 4 hours. Did you happen to select 'Alternative Signal Bar (Honeycomb)' in Rom Control? That is when mine started misbehaving in a permanent way. What I mean is, prior to selecting that option I could also fix it using the timezone fixes. However once I selected the alt signal, even when unselected the time would change to the incorrect time. I did a complete wipe with internal SD format to test my theory. As before, selecting alt signal caused the timezone issue to become 'unfixable'.

Changing the auto time zone setting under Date and Time worked so far.

I know this is a development thread and Task might blast me for this but the whole jagged icons problem had nothing to do with Nova as Task already replied in a post. I flashed stock CM10.1 and with a fresh install, I saw the jagged edges on a few icons.

Btw, you time zone problem having kids are about to get smashed by Task. It's a 4.2 problem that's in all 4.2 threads! You must manually select your time zone for 4.2 AOSP ROMS.

Jagged icons are fixed in 6/26 cm10.1 nightly as fimg (cause of jaggedness) was reverted. Task will probably update base to fix

Samsung Galaxy SII I777
CyanogenMod 10.1 6/26 Nightly/AOCP ICEE
Boost 2.34 Kernel

Why are you posting this here? If you would've simply read the changelog before posting you would see that it has been fixed days ago and is no longer an issue. Please stay on topic which is the current release. Thanks.

My GSII not recognized by my PC

I just connected my GSII to my Windows PC to transfer some photos, but when I plugged it in, my PC didn't recognize my GSII (nothing happened at all). With previous ROMs, my PC would recognize my phone and install the drivers and my GSII would appear as a new drive from which I could transfer photos.

I even installed Kies with no luck (never needed Kies in the past).

It's probably obvious, but I'm dumbing out here.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Go to a driver support thread. This isn't ROM related.

Mic Issue

I have this problem with microphone on all the AOSP based ROMs. The Mic swaps, only rebooting phone seems to solve it for some time, it keeps repeating. However stock based ROMs work just fine. Does anyone have any idea about this?

Wow. Not sure if it was the two updates I missed or my install just got clogged up but my S2 is running much faster and I even have a better signal. Thanks Task!

Hey guys already searched. I installed the latest rom and the latest GAPPS and when I try to update gmail or music from the market it says "Package file was not signed correctly. Uninstall the previous copy of the app and try again." I've tried uninstalling with Titanium Backup and downloading from the market but it just gives me a different error. A link to an older GAPPS version that would work or a solution would be much appreciated.

Thanks.
