It sure does... unless you update to the latest release from goo. You could read through earlier posts in this thread and see that chrome had an issue with the last release on the op, and that it was taken care of in the release that isn't listed.

Once flashed, I am stuck in the loading, this is the 2nd rom I am flashing and getting stuck, cant get past the loading screen

Your version of twrp should be either 2.2.2.1 or 2.3.3.1. Other versions can cause a boot hang due to a format problem.

my twrp version is v2.2.2.1

OK, are you formatting cache, delvik, data, and system? Are you flashing the correct gapps, if needed?

it works now :0 left it loading for like 10-12 minutes and when I came back it worked, seems like I didnt wait long enough, once again thank you so much

guys maybe i missed something here but android keyboard keeps force closing on me anytime the keyboard should open up.

thus i cant do anything.

is there a fix or anything for this?
(aside from adb pushing a keyboard apk file and then installing it)

Is there any development going on with this ROM anymore ? It's been a great release, but I'm ready to do a fresh install, but I don't see any updates to the ROM since Oct.10th and the Gapps is from July.
Any recommendations for another clean ROM with a stock-ish launcher ? or should I update to the 1.8.0 ? and use an updated Gapps from somewhere else ?

Had the same problem. After hours of troubleshooting I got mine to work again. It seems the problem lies within the most recent gapps update (gapps-jb-20121212). Here's what I did to fix the issue:

  1. Factory Reset
  2. Wipe Cache & Dalvik
  3. Install jandycane 1.8.0
  4. Install previous gapps package (gapps-jb-20120726-signed.zip)
  5. Reboot

Problem with start Jandycane

Hello,
i tried Jandycane on my Kindle Fire. First I install root then TWRP. I download to Kindle Fire newest ROM Jandycane and Google Apps. Then I made backup. And install ROM and GApps. Factory reset etc.
All was install good, so i restart Kindle Fire and now i see any animation but operation system never start.

I was tried backup Kindle Fire native operation system its OK.

Please can you help me?

Sounds like you did everything right. Not sure what happened. What is the build number for your kindle stock ROM?

    Now that Jelly Bean source has been released to the masses and Hashcode has worked his magic on the hardware I figured it was time to get started on some fixes and customizations to this bad boy. So here is the beginning of a whole new ROM.

    For the record.

    Since I'm not keen on rumors and hearsay, I figured I'd chime in real quick while I have a spare moment. Jandycane is not DEAD. I simply have not had much spare time lately due to the fact that a product for work is getting ready for release and being the lead developer for it my time is being focused on that. Somehow the bills need to get paid :p

    There is still more I'd like to do with this ROM, which requires time that is scarce for me right now. Either way, the ROM is stable at the moment and not dead by any means.

    As for the rumored MIUI ROM. It's actually more than just MIUI, it's an attempt to reverse engineer their framework back into java. I'll admit it has taken up some of the little spare time I had but even it is idling at the moment. For those interested the code for that is up on github at https://github.com/ChameleonOS with most of the work being done in https://github.com/ChameleonOS/platform_frameworks_base

    But that's a discussion for another day and another thread. I must get back to work but I hope I have at least settled the rumor mill down a bit.

    You must be trolling because you posted the exact same message in another thread. Regardless I will answer this. I have some different goals in mind with this ROM which will focus mostly on tablet devices. A lot of the big teams doing Android ROMs tend to focus primarily on phones and I'd like to see more tablet oriented customizations. Keep in mind all my changes are open to all that would care to use them. I'm a firm believer in open source and sharing code.

    Consider yourself lucky for having so many choices. ;)

    You guys are complaining a lot. If the ROM isn't what you want (no gapps, no dev options) or doesn't work for you (poor ram management, facing apps) then just use another ROM... Lithium is a great dev making a mostly aosp ROM adding the features he sees fit. Why complain so much if other ROMs have the things you want? You could always make a ROM yourself or go back to stock :eek:
