Boahh, feeling like a noob!
Trying with latest fastboot.exe v27.0.1 (--version 0.0.1-4500957) from Android SDK:
Code:
fastboot --wipe-and-use-fbe
..get fastboot: unknown option ..!
Whats wrong here?
I heard from Xdevs23 that this command only works on macOS and Linux. It basically keeps encryption even after wiping internal storage. Normal command would be fastboot format userdata. Both wipe the internal storage, so pictures, videos, all stuff on sdcard

ALSO
Since no custom ROM has the ability to encrypt your device, you must first flash Oxygen OS, let it boot normally, then get back to twrp, do the usual wipe and flash halogenOS.

Literally the best 8.1 rom out there for my oneplus 5t. I only have one question about it though, how do I disable the lockscreen visualizer (the equalizer soundbars) on the lockscreen? It's the only thing I don't like about the ROM. Thanks!

New update fellas! Sorry for the long wait.

New release - halogenOS 8.1 for OnePlus 5T - 2018/05/31

Changelog:
  • Add Navigation Bar toggle
  • Remove default AOSP system update (we don't use that anyway)
  • Update to Android 8.1 r28 (includes May security patch)
  • Many potential NPE fixes
  • Battery saver tile shows charging state
  • Add HSPA+ icons
  • Pixel navbar color fix
  • Fixes and improvements from AOSP master branch
  • Optimizations
  • Flash Kernel updated to 4.19
  • Update Vulkan
  • Miscellaneous stuff that was forgotten

Use the firmware stable OOS 8.0 or an earlier Open Beta, such as OB6. Later should work too, but not the latest

Direct download which is now Github because SourceForge be broken

Sorry for the wait, didnt have notifications on for the thread.

Try this
adb root && adb shell settings put system show_lockscreen_visualizer 0 && adb unroot

It should disable the audio visualizer

We are letting you know

Lately we have been working on revamping our infrastructure.
As part of that we'd like to let you know that from now on our git repositories are hosted on git.halogenos.org (the GitHub organization is no longer maintained)

The website as well as Gerrit are still available just like before, halogenos.org and review.halogenos.org, respectively.
Despite the addresses not having changed, we have switched to a new server which is now properly maintained and accessible by two of our team members to ensure fallback possibilities in case of emergencies.

We are now going to start resuming our work on the ROM itself and focus on getting everything up to date (July security patch etc.)

Soon™

We are preparing another release which will include latest security patches, updated blobs and upstreamed kernel.

It will be the last feature release. Future releases will most likely be only maintenance releases which means upstreamed device trees, kernel and ROM sources. As soon as we release the first P release we may or may not continue maintaining XOS 8.1.

As for posting the releases, the OP of this thread is responsible.

XOS is a new generation Android-based cutting-edge OS based on the Android Open Source Project and Code Aurora Forum releases.

    What is XOS?
halogenOS, also known as XOS is a new Android ROM which ships with the global aim to
become a modular ROM which keeps as high as potentially possible operating
performance on your mobile device while still maintaining a sufficient feature
base of nice, small and minimal features that would not be available via any
external feature base, extension, mod or plugin.

We hope you have a truly halogenified experience!

    Internals of XOS
At core, the ROM is composed mainly of components from the
Android Open Source Project (AOSP) and Code Aurora Forum (CAF),
with extremely minor set of components from LineageOS (LaOS or LN) which
have been added to source in order to allow for better cross-device compatibility.

    Our LOVE to others
A huge thanks goes to those behind the AOSP and CAF, the LineageOS Project and all of its
contributors for the sources used in the development of the base ROM which we
started with inclusive of all the work and dedication their team puts in order to
keep us updated on the awesome contributions that they make.

We will be keen on ensuring that we be up to date with the code from our base sources,
with regular ROM updates hopefully coming from time to time.

Please do not ask for ETA's (else you shall be spooked by Mr Skeltal). Almost all of us are
students, and with the current lifestyles and routines we have, it is not that easy to acquire
time to develop the ROM, though we'll be sure to keep you updated and release OTAs as
soon as they are available and ready for publication. If you want to be really updated quick,
then join us on Telegram: http://telegram.me/halogenos

Visit our website for features such as: Downloads, Information etc.

    WqIgl49.png

Although no data should be lost or damaged by the flashing process,
we advise you to follow the following steps if you are coming from another ROM:
    Code:
     * Please take a full [I]Nandroid[/I] backup!
     * Please copy your back up to an external device.
     * Back up your [I]Internal Storage[/I]
     * When completed, [I]clean flash[/I] the build (format using fastboot --wipe-and-use-fbe)

Although you usually may dirty flash halogenOS over other ROMs, considering the other
ROM is built upon the same Android version, it is not guaranteed.
In case of performance issues or crashes please do a clean flash.

    cEr5ft2.png

Overall as a ROM, XOS is very stable. Our mission statement has always been of maintaining a clean and properly maintained ROM.
We take proper priority with ensuring that performance and stability are put first, features are considered an extra topping on the cake.

    All Builds/Devices/Maintainers
    Substratum Theming Support
    Custom Lockscreen Visualizer
    Offline Gesture Recognition
    Upstream Security Patches
    Support for `addon.d`
Application Signature Spoofing Toggle (for microG)
    Various Kernel Optimizations
    Long Press Home for Assist
    System UX & Performance Optimizations
    Audio Tweaks
Enhanced Media Support (Video, Audio, ...)
    I/O Tweaks
No black bars on big screens

    OnePlus 5T
    Alert Slider & Gestures Support
    Fingerprint swipe for notifications
Flash Kernel by @nathanchance - compiled using Clang 7
    FBE

    Issues
    None that we know of

    cSF0Se1.png

    Installing for the first time
    Code:
    * Download the current version of XOS for your device.
    * Reboot into a compatible Android Recovery solution. (Note: We recommend [URL="https://xdaforums.com/oneplus-5t/development/recovery-twrp-3-2-1-0-oreo-8-0-8-1-t3729673"]TWRP[/URL], use always the recommended version from first post)
    * Wipe [B]Wipe '/system' & '/cache', FORMAT /data preferably using fastboot --wipe-and-use-fbe (You will lose all your data incl. internal storage).[/B].
       [I](For `Dirty Flash`, do not wipe anything)[/I]
    * Select the appropriate ROM zip and flash the current ROM build.
    * Want Google Apps? Obtain and flash the latest GApps from [url]http://opengapps.org/[/url]
    * Flash any other system modifications you may want
    * Reboot.

    Manually updating the ROM
XOS ships with an OTA updater built-in (soon) which should automate the downloading and flashing process,
however should your wish be to manually update the ROM, you should be our guest.
    Code:
    * Download the current version of XOS for your device.
    * Reboot into a compatible Android Recovery solution. (Note: We recommend TWRP)
    * [b]Please do not[/b] wipe anything, including Cache/Dalvik/ART, the ROM has you covered.
    * Select the appropriate ROM zip and flash the current ROM build.
    * Reflash any system modifications that do not survive updated (everything that is not addon.d-capable)
    * Reboot.

You do not need to wipe Cache/Dalvik.
You do not need to flash Google Apps again*.
You do not need more than 5 minutes.

    * Just make sure that you don't wipe system before flashing.

    Screenshots

Currently right now, halogenOS will only include the stock Android theme.
We may one day decide to use a custom theme as soon as that theme is working perfectly fine.
