All the applications crash so often ... mostly the dolphin and the included browser... one thing that mostly looks like it couldn't handle is the flash I guess

Is the video review of this ROM available? And is it stable for daily use. By the way the official mobile site of this ROM is sexy! Thank you.

No, not really this is still one of the "great roms".
LiquidSmooth V3 =/= firarasusman rom.

The REAL LiquidSmooth (by m3dd0g) is a ROM that is built on TouchWizz Kernel. So you can use LqSv3 with the latest NoteCore (v12.5 OC+UV as of writing). Then you would still have all the proprietary Samsung things.

Fira's relies on imilka's AOSP-port. Its compatible with AOSP Kernels, and you lose out on the Samsung features.

Besides there's a much more stable and better ROM by sixstrings and it is "official AOKP". I don't know why anyone would use Fira's ROM over that as a daily driver.

To me there's 4 grades of firmware for the NOTE:
1 Bland Grade)
Official TouchWizz ROM
TouchWizz/CF-kernel

2 Custom)
LiquidSmooth V3 (or others like AROMA)
Custom kernel (eg NOTECORE/Speedmod)

3 Deep Custom)
AOKP b40 ROM (or PA 0.5 or anyother AOSP ROM)
Kernel from CM9_Stable or ANiDROID.

4 Experimental)
Alpha JellyBean ROMs and Alpha Kernels

Some people like touchwiz roms some people like aosp/aokp roms... matter of choice... as for m3dd0gs liquid rom its dead like this thread....

This is completely inaccurate..LiquidBlack uses a TW kernel just like the original version and is packaged with franco r4. If you were to flash a AOSP kernel you would be eating bootloops for breakfast.

What special Samsung features? Neither are able to use snote etc.

I see, his older versions used Franco's r6 kernel.
His newer versions actually doesn't state which kernel it is using.
And in his title he specifically wrote [AOSP].
I'm calling bull turd on this.

It's either [TW]-ROM or [AOSP]-ROM, you can't have "both".

Have a look at this:
And some minor tweaks here and there by me :D

Changlog V3.2
So Fast ... Like a bullet ...
So Stylish ... like a black diamond ...
Firstly, it is "Changelog", as in a log (eg diary) to note "changes".
Secondly, if you don't put in any details into a "changelog" then it isn't really a "changelog" is it?
Sounds like you just want to inflate the build number (ie 3.2) to give the impression that development is active and progress is happening.

firstly if u were a member of the liquid family you'd know exactly what the change log meant... its not an inflated number it was a great leap forward in fixing issues in the previous version... fcs and such.. secondly if you have something to say about liquidblack rom and my friend firas please proceed over to that thread and continue to rant and well be glad to assist you in whatever you need to see that liquid is one of the most stable, feature packed , daily driver worthy roms out there... thirdly it uses francosr4 as with r6 there were some reboot and sod discrepancies.... questions, comments, concerns?... didn't think so... kthxbye

Lol, you're getting defensive over *literally* nothing.
I also posted an official "changelog" without any details, so maybe I should educate you what the purpose of a changelog really is. And that you don't have to be a part of any family to know it too.

And I did ask a question which you purposely side-stepped, nice one ;)

Is Fira's LiquidBlack based on TW or AOSP ?
If it is based on Franco's (thus TW) why does he personally claim it is AOSP ?
If it is based on AOSP why doesn't he note the change in his changelog ?

I'm waiting patiently for a genuine response, in the meantime don't go closing a thread which doesn't mean anything to you.

Crazykiddo... who is our resident website developer for liquid black kindly and genuinely answered your questions... so now that this has been resolved this thread which is by the title of m3dd0gs liquid smooth v3 should be closed since the aforementioned rom is no longer under any development by that name nor is m3dd0g affiliated with any of the ongoing development for it. And yes this thread does mean something to me.. this is where firas, myself, crazy, mrdsl and other members of the liquidblack team met and now this thread is just taking up space hence the asking for the mods to kindly close it.... so mods.. please close this thread... rom is no longer under development. Thank you
