Exactly. 1080p should be the default, with an option for 720p for those who really want to eek a few extra FPS out in their games (I don't remember the last time a played a game on my OUYA). Especially when the big draw of Lollipop on the OUYA is to get Android TV ported, 1080p for media is a must. No, please stick with 1080p. 720p? No thanks!
For root you need to flash the included zip in the fist post.Rom works well for me so far! Got over 22k in Antutu Benchmark v5.3!
Some bugs I have encountered so far:
- Display is tiny on my TV (as have other people already reported)
- Doesn't come pre-rooted.
- OUYA Controller mapping is not the same as CM11 or stock...
Will update as I find more!...![]()
fork my sources from github and look sources from google:Oh no!
What is the next step to get android TV on lollipop?
Thanks, but I already ordered Nexus player. Thanks for all the hard work on tbis aging device. Are you accepting donations for a new machine, or are you just done with ouya as a device in general? Id throw a few bucks your way to get a new box if it meant continued development on this!![]()
For me, when I try to play a local video file it crashes. I've only tried Kodi RC3.Can anyone report how is xbmc running on it?
I can tell you that SPMC (which is based on XBMC) won't play any streaming video. and the app just crashes back to the desktop. I'd suggest sticking with CM11 if you want XBMC and its variants to work. Can anyone report how is xbmc running on it?
