Loaded up 0.3 and the latest Gapps (0609) and clean flashed. I'm still restoring but things are looking good

* boot animation splash screen fixed

* recent apps accessible after enabling them from hardware menu

Digging the other UX enhancements too.

Feature requests

* Double tap to enable flashlight

* Screenshot capture from power menu

* Rocket launcher from triple pressing menu key

Thanks!

I didn't know anyone Cared for the Flashlight. I can include the commits next time. Think we have Screenshot as a QS tile. That's not sufficient ? Hardware assignments are WIP and can come down the road.

QS tile works. I didn't realize it was on there, searched for "screenshot" and results didn't point there. Just enabled it and it works great, thanks!

Flashlight on menu double tap is really helpful - esp from the lockscreen since I'm too lazy for - right pulldown -> hit qs tile.

Have you tried Settings > Navigation > Hardware Buttons ? I have no use for flashlight so I pretty much remove the app on flashing. But I am sure you can assign it to double tap Menu

Yeah, that was the first thing I tried. You can attach a flashlight app to that action, but prev. Slim releases had flashlight directly available. It's only a request though, don't worry about it if it's a bother.

Ah, you are asking for Slim Actions. I hadn't included as it was not stable enough then. Will check this time.

CMHW Coming your Way in the form of Live Display. Combines Previously known Gamma Control with Color Calibration and Temperature.

I will be uploading the build shortly. There's an easter egg in this build somewhere. It has nothing to do with Live Display. One Cookie for the first one to find it. :D

Disclaimer/Clue - The Egg isn't like Google's egg where you fast click on About to open minigame. Its just a fact buried someplace you'll have to find out. :)

The chamber of secrets has been opened
enemies of the heir..... beware :p

Woohoo blacklist!! May make this a dd sometime this week. Now I just want shortcuts in the navigation drawer (hint, hint). And a file manager for initial setup (lot of things I like to setup before I let ggogle on my phone).

Ha! Wrong one! There's a different one.

Save off ES File Explorer APK on SD Card. Not going to include, goes against Slim Principle. You've got Slim Actions for shortcuts and Pie. Go be happy. :)

All Right you get half a Cookie!

Hmmmmm. Hidden feature or something newly added that I've missed

Slim has always included a basic file manager in the base install. It is what I have used to install apks off my extsdcard. My usb cable doesn't do any thing other than charge (and a crappy job at that) so I can't sideload with adb. I think I may be able to do it in TWRP. May look into adb over wi-fi.

Where is this Slim Actions that you speak of? Imho LMT Launcher is far superior to any pie baked ( no pun intended ) into a rom (way more customization available). I was happy once, didn't like it much.

Even better! Everybody knows when you break a cookie all the calories fall out. :D

You can just get the app "zipme" from the play store and use it to create a flashable zip of any apps you have installed now. For instance a file explorer app. And then flash it right along with rom and gapps. Titanium also has the feature to create a zip of itself for flashing in recovery.

Its a fact not a Feature. About the explorer, take Madbat's advice and get TiBu to Recovery Flashable Zip for your favorite apps. I think the core team wants to retire that KK file explorer.

Forgot about that in TiBu. Used to do it all the time, but had a period of about 2 months where every time I did that about half my apps would be fc city. And I was NOT saving/transfering app data when I did it. I'll try again but I'm not having high hopes going across android versions.

Found them!

@Perseus Found Slim Actions, unfortunately its not what I'm looking for. What I'm talking about when I say shortcuts in the notification drawer is found, in SK, under Settings > Interface > Notification drawer > Shortcuts. See bottom of attached pic.

I also think I have found your "fact". It appears that Slim is no longer using a CM kernel but has developed their own. Apparently they even got some help from some loser named Perseus71 . (DKP here I come) ;) All kidding aside, as the Aussies say "good on ya mate"

Titanium makes crappy zips of other apps. I only use the function of titanium creating a zip of itself. Try zipme. It works very well if you only put a couple apps in it. Make one just for the file explorer of your choice. It's quick and easy. Beating up developers to add stuff is just...
Lol.

Those Shortcuts would probably appear in NAV BAR if that. I haven't seen any discussions around them.

Ok you got the other half of the Cookie.

Seriously speaking, how is Call Strength, any calling issues ?

Seriously speaking, I haven't had any build installed for prob. more than 20-30 mins - Just to see how every thing ins working. I can say however that this is the only Lollipop build out of the 3 that I've looked at that has signal immediately upon boot. It also shows lte in places that I've never seen it before (in my house) though I still don't get lte speeds. :( Tbh though, its been about 2-3 weeks since I've looked at any of the others so they may have fixed it by know. I will be installing tomorrow to use as a dd for at least a week or so (or at least until the missing Slim goodness drives me back to SK ) so I'll be able to give you a better idea of whats going on and see if there are any stability issues.

Looked at Zipme. I don't know why but I don't seem to have good luck with Jrummy apps, plus I tend to be wary of beta apps that haven't been updated in over 2 years. Since I only really need a file explorer I'll just use TiBu (I bought it years ago anyway) and cross my fingers. Also I haven't even begun to beat to beat up the dev yet........ thems just love taps.

Yeah, not ever being updated from beta is a turn off. It has bugs if you add too many files in one zip. But for a couple apps or files it does work great. I made a zip of about 3 apps I like to keep across different roms. Works like a charm. I've been flashing for years and got that app when it first came out, hoped it would get updated but no. It's handy anyways. If a file explorer is that important to you, what's there to be wary of?
Lol @ the love tap comment.
