Yeah, not ever being updated from beta is a turn off. It has bugs if you add too many files in one zip. But for a couple apps or files it does work great. I made a zip of about 3 apps I like to keep across different roms. Works like a charm. I've been flashing for years and got that app when it first came out, hoped it would get updated but no. It's handy anyways. If a file explorer is that important to you, what's there to be wary of?
Lol @ the love tap comment.
Ummm. Why can't we do this on a PC ? Shouldn't be too hard for Windoz to craft a flashable zip ??

Compatability

Can I flash this onto my triband SPH-710t? I've tried a couple of Rom's CM12, Barebones, Static Power. They all work nice, but then the 4G is in and out. It may have been an outage, but when I ODIN'd a good tar everything was ok. I know I need NF4, so would this Rom include that, or would I just need to flash a separate zip after install? Thanks.

This rom isn't built for the triband. You would have to manually symlink the correct modem firmware image files (after deleting the incorrect symlinks) and flash the proper apn.
If that's a little too advanced, octos has a triband build.

Just recently flashed this on my d2spr. Everything went smooth, but the rom wouldn't boot. Just sat on boot animation til the battery died

ALL - Op Updated. The new weekly this time has additional Kernel Features listed in OP. In addition it contains other Rom fixes & Enhancements. Please see recent commits for further details.

You now do not need to flash the SlimKernel zip file. Those are all in here. If this release is stable, I want to release it as first Stable. So please post back with your impression.

Anyone try the square or any other credit card reader with this Rom, I tried it with AICP and CM and it didn't read any credit cards, but works on stock based roms. TIA

Alrighty then - after dealing with a lot of headaches that pretty much caused me to odin back to stock and then flash this build, i've been running this for about a day now. My comments and observations are:
1) Stable enough for a dd.
2a) One big issue. (for me) Using the blacklist to block unwanted sms messages causes stock messaging app to crash.
2b) I tried to grab some logcats using adb on my computer. Unable to do so, getting "unable to open log device 'main' " error message. All other adb commands apear to work. Also catlog (app) doesn't capture any logs. Preliminary web search suggests logging may not be enabled in kernel/rom. (?)
3) No Slim Center per OP. :( Really looking forward to having the ability to remove unwanted system apps easily.
4) Reeeeallly liking the new privacy guard.
5) What kernel tuner app would you recommend to play w/ all the settings mentioned in the OP, or did I miss that in the settings.
6) During early setup I noticed that when you taped a field that needed input, the stock keyboard (don't use it install my fav as soon as possible) would not initially appear until you taped the area where it should be, and then boom their it was.

Overall I'm pretty happy with it. Unless somthing breaks badly probably won't be going backwards. Looking forward to getting more Slim goodness built in.
PS Any plans for layers/rro support?
