Samsung Galaxy Tab 2
Xiaomi Mi Pad
Sorry to ask a really really noob question:
When it says WiFi connected no internet, is it actually no internet?
This may sound a strange question but I have seen someone that still have internet access while 'wifi connected no internet'.

Well unfortunately I am not an expert, so what I can suggest is searching some phones's XDA forum, e.g. "galaxy S2 XDA", and quoting developers there.
Did you turn off WiFi optimization in WiFi advanced options also?
Well wouldnt that be offtopic in that forum? Probably would get ignored

I mean finding the username of the developers there and quote them here (with the format @xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx)or private message them.
I did pm some devs, they didn't reply :(
No one replied?Maybe they are inactive.
You can find the devs of the phones with active development, e.g. galaxy s series, galaxy note series, mi 3,4,5,6,8,etc.
You can mention them too in this thread by putting an '@' and immediately follow their username (no spaces).
Maybe this forum ??? (I have seen so many threads here about problems regarding Roms or devices)

Or maybe this

Hope you get help and hope I get my tab 2 😅

Wel sorry to quote you all. In the OP, the developer @Mighty faced some problems on his self built custom rom for the Galaxy Tab 2 (ti omap 4430) device. The Wi-Fi scans, but 'connects, no internet'.
Can you guys help him out?
Thanks!
Help would be appreciated.

EDIT:
For one's confused, or pissed off:
If you are not any familiar with the device or similar devices, hence, or otherwise, you can't help out, please skip this post. Sorry for the inconvenience caused. If you really hate this post, ignore me.
Apologies.
I am not responsible for any mental damage or you missed a bus reading this post and was fired. This may not be the best way of seeking help but not malicious or spammy by any means, as far as I had concerned about XDA's rules.

Have a good day!

I'm in the same slack group (unlegacy android) because once I also was building for the Tab2 and fixed some things for the community, maybe I can help you out.
I have to sync the sources for oreo before.
(I also still own my tab2)

But, one moment, the wifi connects and you didn't get any internet connection?
This remebers me to a similar problem I was facing on an AOSP GSI,
just try my fix and tell me how it worked.
(It was a real struggle to find out whats wrong...)

Great to see that development continues!
    Thanks a lot @Mighty and @html6405 !

From time to time I am reading on XDA or taking a look at our dev chat Channels, even if I am not a big help anymore.

I am spending my rare spare time working on a OpenSource Photobooth project, mainly to run on a raspberry pi.

My daughter was born end of August and now new, different challenges are waiting for me!

    Best regards

I compiled Unlegacy Android 8.0 builds for espressowifi using sources from thread. Automated builds using jenkins for espresso (wifi) and espresso3g coming soon

    DOWNLOAD (espresso)

    INSTALL GUIDE

What works: Wifi, bluetooth, stereo audio, autorotate, sdcard, gapps, USB file transfer, battery status
What doesn't work: Camera (drivers don't support kernel 3.4), gps, selinux, you tell me

Stock calendar and email apps are missing due to causing numerous build issues.
If the right stereo speakers has any delayed popping/clicking sounds please let me know.

Yeah, I agree with you. @Mighty, you better change your name to Almighty because many devs tried to build this rom but failed. Only you were successful to get the rom even booting in tab 2. That's really a big step forward.💯🏆⚡🎉🎆
Haha, thanks a lot! It's my pleasure to work on tab 2, and many thanks to Ziyan, Andi, html6405 for helping me out!
