Thanks for all the hard work put into this. It's been years since I've rooted a device and I managed to get this running in one evening. The hardest part was figuring out the CWM in the OneClickOuyaRecovery needed to be updated from 6.0.3.2 to 6.0.4.8.

My hope is to turn my Ouya into a PS4 Remote Play device. Magisk is my current stumbling block. If I enable Magisk Hider, it shows up in the sidebar, but then doesn't persist. Invoking it from the CLI errors out with a message about the kernel not supporting mount namespace. I believe the message, but I'm surprised the UI even shows the hider tool then, so I'm wondering if the "unofficial" build linked here has some other workaround. Is it possible to use Magisk Hider with this? If not, should I look at patching the kernel? Or am I just asking for trouble by pursuing this goal?

Thanks alot @decatf for this Nougat rom.
Just want to share my setup as a media device. I used a mouse & keyboard.

I've installed the following :
1. ATV Launcher, and set as my default launcher
2. Smart YouTube
3. AirPin(PRO) - AirPlay/DLNA Receiver, as the app says, works as an Airplay/DLNA receiver
4. MXPlayer, using this as my default video player when casting video/media from phone (using Web Video Cast) to the Ouya
5. Solid Explorer, for better file management
6. Simple Reboot, quick access to rebooting

Some observations
  • Laggy - It just lags occasionally. Not sure if it's the ATV Launcher itself
  • Screen Flickering - Not frequent, but it's kinda noticeable once in a while
  • Device MTP Host FC - Happened occasionally too
Does anyone have these issues as well ?

And how do you guys setup yours too ? Any other recommended apps as a well-covered media device ?

How can i revert to lineage os?

I've installed the rom on ouya but want to revert to lineage os, how can i do it? I've tryed to do this but can't install opengapps nano, only pico. It happens because of the change of /system and /cache partition?

Have u tried flashing back the old CWM Recovery, and use that to flash lineage os instead ?

I was super surprised to find this thread today and that Android 7 is actually working on my Ouya. Great work!
However, all video playback is super choppy or even crashes the system and MX Player is also not recognizing the Tegra 3. Does video playback in Plex or MX or VLC work for anyone? Feels like a driver issue to me.

Hello, I hope someone is still active in this thread, I have had the opportunity to test this rom and I found it great, very well optimized, I have customized it quite a bit with some applications, and so far there are no failures, only I have a question and is that bluetooth works very well but I want it to be active when turning on the console, I could not do it, I would like someone to tell me if they have been able to solve that

Hey Danlock2022, so yeah comment from takagen below so maybe try that app and see how you go with the Bluetooth...
and just out of curiosity what customization have you done as I haven't installed this yet but am thinking of having a play just for ****s n giggles so what are your thoughts is it worth it ? as there doesn't appear to be any further development going on this Rom

Cheers

I just installed this ROM, and I've installed several of my regular apps, including Plex, Prime Video, and CBS. Hopefully it'll be more useful than 4.1.

I installed TWRP and installed the ROM, after trying CM11.

Thank you so much for this ROM, and I'd love to take a shot at compiling this for my personal use.
