Well, I can see a crash that must be the reason... but that problem doesn't appear in my case and we're talking about the same device and rom... so

¿Can you create a new gmail account and try to log into it?

Maybe it's related to your google account.

I'll look a bit more into this, but new screen shouldn't affect to this issue.
I can't even type my email address, the window will refresh and bootloop, appears for 1 second then goes back to "Getting more info"
The logs are from Ricedroid but it's the same on all your roms.

Well, I have problems with OrangeFox in the past... so I would recommend to use TRWP...

Check if this new TWRP with updated kernel does the job for you.

If you can boot it and see it fine, follow the same steps indicated here and try.

This release of TWRP works but still getting the same issue on freshly installed rom.

Also something interesting to note, I can't use touchscreen in any recovery but with RiceDroid rom, my touchscreen works in recovery.

Wow, interesting... but out of time to find out the reason...

Have you tried CherishOS Vanilla + FlameGapps?

MAybe with third party gapps the things go in a different way...

Also, can U check if this feature is available? I'm on CherishOS nowadays and no time to check by myself.

I would like to dirty flash new rom.zip and keep root after updating.
Official Magisk installation guide didn't answer my question:

To keep root, can I use my old magisk_patched-xxx.img, which is the patched boot.img from an older build or do I need to repatch the boot.img from new rom.zip and flash that file?
Sometimes the file size of boot.img changes with new builds. Is it always necessary to create a new associated magisk_patched-xxx.img before dirty flash?

Renaming magisk.apk to magisk.zip and flash it in TWRP is no longer recommended, so I don't want to use this method.

IMHO, flash the renamed magisk.zip without fear.

I allways do that when I want to use magisk without problems.

Hello. Does anyone know how to install a fully working original Pixel Launcher on this rom? I care about the fully functional As A Glace and the ability to select text in the App Drawer.
I tried addons for different gapps, Magisk pixelify plugin, Pixel Launcher Extended, etc. but there are always problems and crashes.
For earlier androids I installed opengapps micro which included Pixel Launcher and everything was fine. But not until the 13th yet.

OP Updated!

NOTE: It's mandatory to use an updated recovery with quota flag support. I recommend to use TWRP 3.7.0 by Nanhumly

If you stay on older recovery, you can flash the ROM without problems, but next time you access recovery you won't mount /data (and hence internal storage).

Regards!

Hello,

-That twrp can be used with other android 13 roms for chiron (crDroid for example) ?

-The link you posted is a single img file from Google Drive; How can I make sure that "TWRP 3.7.0 by Nanhumly" is a legit file ? I've only found this page (https://github.com/Nanhumly-Staging/twrp_device_xiaomi_chiron), and it seems to be source code for OrangeFox. I don't want to install a recovery without being sure it's safe.

Thanks

Hi.

- Yeah, it can be used with other A13 roms.

- Thelink I posted is as legit as the roms that I post... it's the recovery that I'm using on my own and I've uploaded it to a gdrive of my own.

You are free to use it or not, so stay on your "legit" TWRP (official device abandoned several years ago)

You can dowload it from here too: https://github.com/Nanhumly/build_recovery_action/releases/tag/chiron_202301190200

    Installation
    Choose your flavor

    1. You can choose between the traditional EXT4 or the new EROFS. This fs affect only to /system and /vendor partitions
    2. Magisk doesn't work on EROFS at the moment. Anyway I've included KernelSU on kernel, so you can install if you want KernelSU app in order to get root and flash magisk modules
    3. Once selected root partitions fs, you can choose fs for /data and /cache partitions between traditional EXT4 or F2FS
    4. Note that EXT4 comes with encryption by default and F2FS comes unencrypted

Decide if you want encryption or not
    1. If you want encryption, use EXT4 on /data partition
    2. If you prefer to go unencrypted, then use F2FS on /data partition

First Time Install / Clean Flash
    1. Due to latest changes, is mandatory to use my last TWRP posted below
    2. Reboot into recovery mode
    3. Go to Wipe --> Advanced Wipe --> Select Data/Cache --> Swipe to Wipe --> Reboot into recovery
    4. If you already have /data on f2fs (or ext4 unencrypted) and want stay that way, skip step 5
    5. Go to Wipe --> Format Data (internal storage will be wiped too, backup your data) --> Type yes and accept -->
    Reboot into recovery
    6. Download the ROM and copy it into internal storage
    7. Flash the ROM (and magisk if you consider it, but ONLY on EXT4 version, over EROFS will bootloop)
    8. Reboot to system

Dirty Flash over previous Evolution X v7.8
NOTE: Do not dirty flash over old versions earlier than v7.8. In that case do a clean flash
    1. Due to latest changes, is mandatory to use my last TWRP posted below
    2. Reboot into recovery mode
    3. Download the ROM and copy it into internal storage. You must use the same version alteady installed (EROFS or EXT4)
    4. Flash the ROM (and magisk if is already installed, but ONLY on EXT4 version, over EROFS will bootloop)
    5. Reboot to system

    Change /cache and /data filesystem from ext4 to f2fs
    1. You must format /data partition, so all your data and internal storage will be deleted. Please backup your files
    2. Reboot into recovery mode
    3. If already encrypted: Go to Wipe --> Advanced Wipe --> Select Cache and Data --> Swipe to Wipe --> Reboot into recovery
    4. Go to Wipe --> Format Data --> Type yes and accept --> Reboot into recovery
    5. Go to Wipe --> Advanced Wipe --> Select Data --> Repair or Change File System --> Change File System --> F2FS --> Swipe to Change
    6. Repeat step 5 but selecting Cache

Change /cache and /data filesystem from f2fs back to ext4
    1. You must format /data partition, so all your data and internal storage will be deleted. Please backup your files
    2. Reboot into recovery mode
    3. Go to Wipe --> Format Data --> Type yes and accept --> Reboot into recovery
    5. Go to Wipe --> Advanced Wipe --> Select Cache --> Repair or Change File System --> Change File System --> EXT4 --> Swipe to Change

    Hybrid Mode
You can have /cache and /ext4 on different filesystems, so follow previous instructions to put the partitions on your desired filesystem
