Thanks for suggestion....gladly consider any ideas. Was communicating perfectly and just stopped. Perhaps hardware issue. Don't know how to check network via NP other than to confirm connection in settings. Have old computer running XP....network manager does not indicate issue. Only have 6 items on network. Tries turning off couple...still unable to reach internet despite soming connected. Thanks again. Hopefully other suggestions or ideas will surface.

Finally got remote working, apps sideloaded, configurations set and logins completed. Everything running great. Then all of a sudden, lost WIFI connection. Reset modem/router, forgot/reactivated account, rebooted NP, even reflashed system. All other devices on network working fine. Setup says NP connected but no access to internet.
Settings says ststus connected, signal strength excellent, link speed 144mbps, frequency 2.4ghz.
Any suggestions?
You try airplane mode off/on works for me when modem gets errors

Well, good news and bad news. Started from scratch and wiped and flashed 6.0 from the beginning. And yes, WiFi again working fine. But, as before - once again unable to pair bluetooth remote! Unbeliavable problems I've had with this NP and still need to set up apps and somehow get remote paired. Has been a total disappointment!
For comparison, I've had a Firestick since initially released ($20). Problems = 0. Sideload and run everything (Kodi, Netflix, Youtube, Crackle, Dropbox, Plex, etc) and does obviously support Prime. Yes the NP will run Android but I can't immagine using for anything other than movies/photos).
Ok, I feel better. And, I do appreciate your help. Now off to see if can get remote to pair.

Going to a Target is an all day event for me. Living in rural New Mexico means I have to buy online or have a dozen other things to do besides just wasting gas on a long Target trip. I might make the trip this Friday though lol. I doubt there will be one in stock though.

Did you take pictures of the $14.99 target price tag? Because the old saying goes, pictures or it didn't happen. That's what my target will most likely tell me. Lol

It should come up in their system as the 14.99 price but beware people are making long trips to Target just to buy out their stock on these! Might want to call ahead and ask them to hold one for you but do NOT ask them to price check it or when you arrive it may have magically disappeared into the purchase of a store employee!

Hello,

I just switched from stock to AOSP 6.0 and have noticed there has been at least one game (Daytona Rush) that loads into a touch-friendly interface instead of the remote-friendly interface that I used when on the stock leanback launcher. Do i need a different apk for the game (like Netflix), or is there a way (build.prop?) to get apps to load as if they were on the stock ROM?

FYI: I have root and xposed

I have noticed the same with one of the mickey games for my daughter. I have bought and tried Touch Profile by zulu99 but can't seem to get it to work with the Asus Nexus Controllers.

I was looking around for a solution to this and I believe I found an answer. You need to change the DPI to 320 for the app to load in TV mode. You can do this on a per-app basis using the Xposed module "app settings". I will try this on my nexus player later tonight when I have a chance to confirm it works.

Let me know if this works for you. Just tested it on the plex and Castle of illusion apps and so far no joy.

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll try editing the build.prop to see if that will get compatible apps will load into android TV mode. There has to be a way to do this. I love this ROM but the few games I played on stock that aren't loading correctly are really frustrating. I may also try the xposed DPI settings, but with the leanback play store installed to see if that makes a difference. I previously tried using the leanback play store to install the app, then tried opening it but it Force Closed w/o the DPI settings. Maybe the leanback play store installs a android TV .apk that needs 320DPI to load.

I'm interested to know how you installed the leanback play store. Please do tell.

I tried installing the one from apk mirror that says it's for TV and it wouldn't install. Did you have to change the DPI setting in the prop.build first?

Also, I changed the that DPI setting to 320 to see if that would effect the apps, and the home screen was in portrait but the mouse is still working like normal.

I'm testing an inverse solution at the moment...
I used stock marshmallow ROM and I'm going to a free from the closed "Android TV" scheme...
Installed Recovery, Root, Es File Explorer, sideload and installed Nova Launcher and Fx Root Explorer
then I removed Leanback launcher making Nova Launcher as default
I've the leanback play store but Aptoide, Amazon Store, Apkmirror and Browser does help...

I installed this one. I first made a backup of the original one and then installed the leanback one over it w/o installing. I was able to easily switch them out by installing the leanback apk for tv style play store and restoring in titanium for full play store.
http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google...oid-tv-5-10-31-leanback-android-apk-download/

I tried installing from the leanback play store but could not get the problem games to load correctly. I tried messing with DPI and the build.prop a bit, but I don't know enough about this to even have a chance without having the stock build prop to attempt to copy parts of. So I softbricked my device but restored easily

I have tried the apk from the mirror site, with no joy. Can you extract the apk in your titanium backup folder and share?

Anyone using chrome remote desktop with this? Its easy to setup but after playing around a little bit im having an issue that makes it unusable. I have a keyboard with trackpad so my mac's cursor shows up from my remote connection but also my keyboard cursor. Its the mac cursor that actually selects, however, i cant seem to move that one remotely. I can do it on my phone but for obvious reasons the keyboard would be better. Potential workarounds?
Btw-imho this is a VERY good free alternative to log me in which is i think $99 per year. The resolution is pretty good. Responsiveness is good. Next best thing to having your mac or pc in the livingroom.
