Beside the Xposed mods that didn't work for me, anyone found a way to remove the device restrictions on the Play Store?
Despite compatibility and ARM translation being listed as features on this ROM, I still can't install many apps including even my favorite Icon Pack...
(And you can't find paid apps on ApkMirroir)

Also, damn this keyboard have a ghosting issue on this device.
Code:
This si psecialy annoying for the lettres E R -_-

I searched but couldn't find a legitimate answer. What is the best way to expand storage? This is my first time using this rom for the Nexus Player. In the past I had used Link2sd and stickmount, but now that Marshmallow has its own formatting system, I am confused. I tried my old method with Link2sd and stickmount but it says SD card not detected. Is it best to use Android's format as internal or what is suggested? Thanks.

oh and this just happened... http://www.androidauthority.com/android-n-developer-preview-live-now-678879/

Most apps are listed as compatible in Google Play, but like in many devices not all.

To avoid this problem,

for free apps you can sue apkpure.com website

You can use also Market helper to spoof your device as Nexus 7 http://codekiem.com/2013/02/13/market-helper/ ( grant permissions manually )

You can buy also app to your phone and send the apk via es file explorer to nexus player.

N is coming! I'm excited for you to work your magic! Multiwindow support is really going to make this special.
I tested Android N, but especially on nexus player is not a finished build, many many bugs. But DroidMote already work, when the source code will be public we will create full Android N.

You can use the expanded storage.

An useful trick for everyone:

You can split the disk in two parts, half exapanded storage and half as portable storage with this command:

sm partition your-disk mixed 50

To know the list of your disks you can use the command :

sm list-disks

To mount a disk formatted in NTFS and exFat you can use the app StickMount and not mount it as portable storage. When you have the disk with two partitions, you can use the expanded storage and at some time the FAT32 partrition as portable storage.
Instead if you have the other partition formatted Ntfs / exFat you can mount it with StickMount.

When you have a disk formatted in this way, you can also see the FAT32 , NTFS , EXFAT partition on windows, threfore you can also copy paste files on others devices without lose completly this disk because you are using the expanded storage.

P.S.
Start with a disk formatted in windows, fat32, exfat or ntfs and after use the command sm partition your-disk mixed 50 on Android

Hi guys!
Do you know any Xposed mod that works with this ROM v.1.3 so as to make all the UI black? I refer to the OS UI. At night, with all the lights off, all that whiteness burns your eyes!
Certain Xposed mods work great with this ROM.
Cheers.

If there will be a version 1.4, could you please include whatever is necessary to enable the activity to open overscan.apk

My television is older and it has been impossible for me to get the screen to decrease in size. I know CM had the activity built in which could open the app, but on your aosp it seems to be missing.

My tv adapt the screen automatically, i not use overscan app, but

if the overscan app is inside, or you sideload it, you can create a shortcut with the app QuickShortcutMaker

like in this video: https://youtu.be/NMqz8e33oq8

in this way you can run also others leanback-only apps.

I'm having issues with certain games not working with my gamepad. For example, hungry shark evolution works fine with a gamepad on stock but on this ROM it doesn't. Why is that?

Google play will give you a different version on the apk based on which version of the store you have. The leandack version of the play store will give you the "TV version" of the app. I had the same issue with the Mickey Land of Illusion game and others.

So I'm sure I can find this apk on apkmirror?

Never mind. I found it. THanks.

Yes on some apps, they should say something about leanback on apkmirror. If it's a paid app, it's almost impossible to get if you are not using the leanback based ROMs.
I have a question... If I install the leanback version will I still be able to download apps that aren't available for the Player?

I have tried this a few different ways and have been unsuccessful. If you find a way to have both play stores or easily switch between store, please let me know.
So I can't get the leanback version to install and there's no way to uninstall updates. So how did you get it to install?

I kind of gave up trying honestly and switched to pure nexus leanback for this reason. You might be able to flash gapps, if it's written like the open gapps and remove the other versions of the apps before it installs the new verson. I would read the script that is included with the leanback gapps before trying this. Remember at your own risk.

If you need a good selection of games that you can play on TV i suggest to look this:

https://plus.google.com/collection/MJ8l3

Many of this games are touch-only games, but in the description you can find also the link of the touch profile.
This are all compatible with Shield TV, many of this can work also on Nexus Player.

If the game not support immersive mode, with xposed you can force immersive mode, therefore all touch profiles are compatible also for Nexus Player
Nexus Player and Shield TV have the same screen resolution for games 1920x1080

If you can't find some games in Google Play, you can take a look also in apkpure.com

So I read and read but I'm still a little confused on how this exactly works??? Droidmote seems awesome but I don't understand how it works. Do I need another Android phone/tablet for it to work or just a controller?
