Somebody having problems with sixaxis? I've tried using my controller with the new update but couldn't. Used to work normally on Lollirock. Giving me an error message saying that none of the methods works. Appears to not be a marshmallow issue, since there are no complaints about it from other devices.

I confirm that:

For hangouts, you have right, in the last version the camera is not working now,

I will see what happen now in hangouts.

Am trying to mount my NAS folder in NexusPlayer using CIFSManager. Purpose is to backup apps/data and schedule these as activities. But CIFSmanager isnt able to mount this propoerly,either a blank folder or a file being created with foldername....any ideas?

Try with es file explorer to see if you can mount a cifs share. If it work, is a question of the app CIFSmaneger that must be updated to work with android 6.

Many users not know that from Android 5, many things was changed under the hood of Android, expecially when apps use OS / kernel functionality directly.
many limitations was added from Google, and the developer must work like a slave to adapt everything.

Goolge want that you use only Google API, in this way can have a better control over ALL.

But we like to do many things at low level because works better.

We don't like that Google must have the control over developers and decide what can do and what can't do a developer.
Development = Freedom of Thought
But in this way Google requires developers to be mere slaves of Google

Problem come in when i want all the other apps to see this NAS share as a local folder, for it to perform actions, say quickpic to show photos or appbackup to save all apks in the NAS folder

in LolliRock firmware thread for Nexus Player, you can find a guide of some users. I don't remember the page. Search and i'm sure that you will find the answer.

Is anyone able to skip YouTube ads? Like clicking on the button that says "skip ad" after the 5 or 10 seconds of advertising? I can click on it at all. Not with the remote or with the mouse. I'm forced to watch the whole commercial. Anyone else? Thanks!

I want be clear with everyone.

This firmware is not perfect. The cause is not related to me but there are some problems of rendering. The problem is in AOSP on the component stagefrighthw.so and subcomponents.
Mailnly the errors are inside this folder:

Can someone confirm that you see a green bar if you go in full screen on chrome browser with youtube mobile videos and with the Google photo app if you watch some videos ?

This problems are not my problems, but is pure AOSP source code and is the same of stock firmware. But i don't see corrections. I hope in a correction from Intel and Google soon.

My modifications are all related to Audio and webcam. All others parts are pure AOSP.
So if someone is near Google developers, please share what i wrote here.

Thanks Zulu for your work. Can you put a note in the OP that a USB OTG cable is required to control the unit on the first boot after installing this rom. I did not get to use your rom yet, I went on amazon and ordered an OTG HUB (hopefully it is compatible) it should arrive today.

I installed the rom yesterday and I had few issues to ask about (I am not an advance user)
1. Leanback launcher didnt show anything inside .. I installed it but nothing shown after open
2. NP wasn't recognized for casting from mobile
3. Couldn't link my NP remote
4. The built in browser crashes when try to download something
5. Play store leanback only apps didn't recognize my device (incompatible)
6. Dropbox not compatible with the device
7. The screen goes off completely when standby .. Awake again after moving the cursor.. (No daydream)

I came from cm12.1. Did I have to make wipe system and data before installing this rom?

And thanks zulu for sure it is completely something we are happy to see on our NP

I can only answer a few of your questions, as I have not done everything that you have asked.

Go to play store and download Firefox, the browser that came with the rom did crashed when I went to download things.\
You can change the display time out in settings.

Very smooth and very stable, your rom made the nexus player so useful to me, I went out and bought another Nexus and planning on putting your rom in it again.

Just reporting in.. Now my regular, non-leanback Netflix has stopped working as of yesterday. I'll be able to start or continue something for about 5 to 10 minutes, then it'll exit the video back to the Netflix home screen. Like someone has hit the back button on the remote. I've Uninstall, reinstall, roll back versions. It just does it on every version on Netflix going back a few. Which I though strange.

One thing I've noticed about the lean back Netflix app is that I am able to continue watching almost anything, but I can't start anything from the beginning, or letting an episode end and load the next without getting that same playback error. I can watch half an episode of something on regular Netflix, pause, go into leanback Netflix and resume that episode, almost always without issues. But if I wanted to start from the beginning or continue watching the next, bam, error. Just an observation. Maybe it'll mean something to you?

When you install a new firmware, you must clear user data.
So the command fastboot -w is necessary otherwise you can have app not working like the comment above.

For Chrome Browser, don't forget you are in Android 6, Google decided that you must grant persmissions for every single thing the first time, so to have download you must grant this permission in Chrome app permissions. Or the first time that you try to download it request to you the permission, but if for error you deny the permissions you can have some crash. So check the app permissions.

App permissions can create problem also on others apps. So chek this stupid funcionality for every app.

Some developers are trying to solve problems, so some apps can have something disabled for the moment.

I tested Netflix regular app and leanback app and both works well. From two day Netflix is active also in Italy and now i have an account. So i take care also of Netflix. I use DroidMote to control all my Android device, so the problem os the friend above can be also how it control the netflix app.

P.S.
Why Google Play Services have all permissions granted by default and all others apps no ?
Google is breking the balls with all this stupid things. Give root to the users, so everyone is the owner of their phone.
Only with Root, you can have security. That you like or not.

what do you use to control your nexus player ?
i use DroidMote and i can use well both netflix versions.

Only the NP remote. Nothing else. I use a regular USB mouse to set up. Once I'm done, I use nothing but the NP remote unless I have to. Currently, nothing plugged in. Not even through OTG.
