if not work with the internal vold, try with StickMount app. The native functionality support only some file system, StickMount support all that the kernel support.

Thanks that did it. Also casting doesnt seem to work for me BUT the device im casting from is cm 11. Does that make it incompatible? It worked with np stock and cm 12.1.
New to the nexus player. Got the ROM up and running no problem. I'm wondering what sort of reporting or bug squashing might be possible.
Watch TNT app didn't work for me tonight. Fox sports go is cruising right along though.

Anyone having issues using FolderMount? I keep getting a write error. Its not letting me mount the external sd. It did before but on this rom its not letting me. Any thoughts?
I use stickmount, haven't seen any issues reading or Writing to my "unsupported" external drive.

gaining root access for apps
i have a problem i cant get root access to some of my apps i can enable root explore to es file explore and i did a root check came up good but for some reason i have game controller 2 touch and it cant get root access at all i got the beta super su 2.52.zip flashed in the np and its all clean but no way to get this app to get access can you helped to get this fixed zulu

Some apps can be not compatible with Android 6.
Root work well in this firmware because i'm a developer of an app that require root as you know. So i tested well this functionality.
This firmware is made by AOSP source code, so it is very and pure AOSP
I added webcam, audio stuff and mtp, so is pure Android 6
If you have doubts on some app, i suggest to test the app on a stock Android 6 firmware and if the app work, you can report the problem to me.

Thanks for all your work Zulu, installed last night. Primarily use for Kodi and works like a charm.
I was wondering if there is flashable zip for this ROM as I have twrp installed on my nexus player and didn't want to have to hook my Mac book up to it to install via fastboot.
last generic TWRP have also the ability to install system.img, i don't know if the TWRP version for Nexus Player was updated. i install always with fastboot.
Is the cache size small on asop all video apps buffer every to seconds? Can I change it? I'm referring to discovery channel
How did you get the NP remote to pair?? Love this ROM, but would be nice to have the remote working so the wife and kid can use Netflix, plex and kodi on their own. Mine was not visible when I tried to pair it, Xbox controller and my Bluetooth keyboard worked just fine.

I had the same issue but I am still on 1.0. I have been using droidmote and a Logitech keyboard\touchpad via the ogt port. I almost upgraded today hoping the issue was fixed (per the request of my wife and daughters). Wife has an iPhone, so she only uses the keyboard at this time.

The stock remote work very well with this firmware. I tested it now for you. Check your battery or connect it in the right way.
active bluetooth in the firmware, press both remote buttons home and back to put the remote in pairing mode, click on refresh in bluetooth settings. when you see the remote pair and it will work well.
But just for basic operations, you can't do many things with the little remote.
Hold down the back button and the home circle on the remote for at least 3 full seconds, the remote light with be double flashing, meaning its in pairing mode. Then you can BT pair like normal.

Hey dude.
I had to go back to stock. There simply was too many issues with Netflix and this ROM for me. I was constantly getting deactivated on the leanback version of Netflix. This happens to me going back quite a few versions of LolliRock and now the new M version too.
I flashed stock Marshmallow, rooted and I've had no issues. It was nice using a custom ROM and all, but at the end of the day, the NP is only a TV box, not my smartphone or my tablet. Having all those functionalities without Netflix (the only thing I really use on the NP) working simply just wasn't worth it to me. Now I can Netflix perfectly, stream on ES via LAN, and play old games on emulators. All the other stuff is just extra.
Sorry Zulu. Great ROM. No argument there.. Your ROM just doesn't work for me.
