I would bet it may have to do with selinux conflicting with art. Either that or the kernel requires modifications to work with art and our 5.0.3 is setup to work with the Samsung touchwiz art and the gpe is a aosp art or at least close to it. And we already know that Sammy changed a lot in art on 5.0 so it maybe that the OC3 kenrel is just modified for Samsung art in a way that makes it incompatible with aosp art.No offense to Joe here, but he left that file, and said it booted. I tried to replicate, and many others did, but no one could get it to get past the boot logo. ART just spazzes out and prevents anything else from happening.
Funny. I came to the exact same conclusion. Haha. I looked in the source though. It is true.I would bet it may have to do with selinux conflicting with art. Please note I have not looked at the lollipop kernel source much to see if art has any kernel level implementations but I believe it may because I read somewhere that art allows the kernel to manage most of the memory instead of relying on the DVM to manage app memory like before.
Either way it could be possible that gpe 5.0 will never boot on our OC3 kernel.
I can look at this tonight if you're willing to test.Check this article out, I can't do I since I'm not experienced with this, but someone try this out and report your results. http://www.androidrooting.org/how-t...s-in-jellybean-and-kitkat-look-like-lollipop/
Bootloader doesn't make a difference as long as the rom is stable for you.I'd be happy to do any testing, still holding out hope AOSP 5.0.1 will eventually be ported for us I337 Safestrap users.
Just to be clear...the ZIPs should be flashed via recovery while running a fresh install of the latest SuperNexus and/or GPE build? Also, which bootloader, NJ4 or OC3?
Super Nexus version failed to install on in Safestrap 3.75 on NC1 basebandI can look at this tonight if you're willing to test.

Did you read the thread? This issue is dealt with repeatedly and its even mentioned in the OP methinks.'ello mates! Wondering if I could get some help with my brother's phone. I installed this ROM on an NB1 AT&T i337 following all the directions. At first boot, wifi worked fine and so did data. Then, after a few hours, wifi just stopped working. Data works but not wifi. I tried clearing cache and dalvik then reflashing the NB1 modem but still didn't fix it. Any ideas? I tried flashing the AT&T APN fix but that didn't work either so I dirty flashed the ROM back over it to fix data (it killed data for some reason).
