I'm only saying that for the sake of prevent misunderstandings (which happen all too often around here), you should explain things more clearly. Simply saying that a custom hboot will make your device faster is not correct.

I tried the latest version I could find about 3 weeks back, finally gave up and uninstalled it a few days back. It's way too slow and buggy; some downloads not starting while others run fine, programs not installing properly, force closing pretty often, etc.

Besides, Adam has listed in the 2.2.2 change log "Reverted back to the old Android Market (the newer one was causing lots of problems for users)" (source). I can confirm on the latest Oxygen it's back to 2.3.4.

If you really want the latest version, use the search function here on XDA, there quite a few people who have attached / linked to APKs for various different Market versions.

Edit: Lol... Erklat beat me to it with the APK idea.

I installed Oxygen 2.2.2 this afternoon and my Market is 2.3.4.. But hey, I don't really mind, I won't lose any sleep over it... The hours I spend on my computer take care of that quite well already.

With this rom I noticed that the market FC everytime with me and the I realised that was because I didnt had an External SD.
After I satrt using an extrenal SD it only FC once in a while, but after I downloaded the apk of the newest version and install it, the FC stopped.

I just double checked. I have the latest Oxygen and 2.3.6 market.
It seems like I could press uninstall updates, but I haven't installed anything yet. Strange

I couldn't update multiple apps at once without it crashing at least once. I had 42 apps to update, forgot to update my titanium backup with newer versions prior to flashing. It crashed three times during that update, and after second it wouldn't accept update button but I had to enter in every app details and manually update it. Luckily I had only 6 remaining at that point.

No need to wipe.. You can if you want to, but it'll work fine either way.

Yes you can, but at least do an sms backup because I've lost exchange account and messages after flashing 2.2.2 over 2.1.6. Otherwise, everything's running smoothly

Oxygen Settings back to use the standard Settings instead a separate - good

wowww just for those interested in "Oxygen" development around :

I am running DarkYorzua 2.2.2 which is so smooth and speedy rom
based on latest oxygen release but with themed apps and more in the package

this dev' is absent in xda since weeks ... such a pitty

Honestly I don't blame him. Between mod decisions and the amount of painful noobs on here he pretty much gave up on the place.

The new forum is much better for discussion, proper issue tracking, ability to find information etc... not to mention that it's now running on 6-7 devices (including unofficial ports) it's just too much to manage on XDA without a subforum of its own.

i guess he will be happy to read your words, did you got a theme in oxygen from him ?
