I think C-ROM uses "Superuser" app for root purposes. I have used this ROM for more than 6 months and never had a problem with titanium backup. The pop-up displayed by TB is only to inform you that it is more compatible with "SuperSU".
even so if you would like to change it I think you should download a flashable zip of SuperSU and flash it in recovery. Though I cannot guarantee that it will work as I have never tried it before and also doing so may mess up your device or you may lose root or have root issues later so do it at your own risk.

I flashed 'UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.02.zip' and didn't have a problem after.

I just installed SuperSU from the app store and installed the binary, rebooted and it seemed to have taken over though TB was still being a pain. Eventually I got my apps to restore. Though after 2 days of using C-mod I decided to move on to a different ROM since it causes my phone to get so hot when charging I physically can't touch it  I'm now on Cyanogenmod-18-Nightly and getting reboot problems lol. I'm going to try updating to 19-Nightly to see if theres been any changes..... My search for a working ROM is not over! Ahaa.

Thanks for your reply too! :)

Unusual
I used C-ROM for quite a long time and for me it was very stable :) I only moved from it as it hasn't been updated in quite some time. Currently using Carbon ROM which is pretty close to C-ROM as is very stable as a daily driver.
I would return to C-ROM anytime its updated :)

Why fix something that's not broken? ;)
However if they fixed the issues I was experiencing, I would return because I did like the ROM, it was quite slick and smooth.

Hi,

I use this rom a couple of days. Nice, and fast.
I test it exactly, and I want to try all feature in this rom.
But........
My note with this rom restared 2 times, when I exactly used it.
First time, when I've tested a Camera. The second was, when I checked the installed appications.

Does anyone have this kind of experience with it? Any solution?

I think because of the kernel, but I really don't know.
Is it good, if I deploy this kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397000
Or it not necessery?

Thx!

I haven't got any suggestion, so I've to write again, maybe someone can help me.
So...
I use this rom for a while. I really like it. Fast, nice, and so on.... But my Note restart automatically twice a day at least.
Sometimes it didn't request to enter the pin code, and sometimes I've to restarted again after that because it doesn't work correctly, for example it dropped
the data connection (3G).
Should I deploy another kernel? ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397000 )
My battery is new.
Does anyone has a same problem with it?

Thx!

first of all I'm a flashoholic, im using C-rom for a very long time, it has no bugs.. its fluid, and THE best,.. BUT after a while rom begins to crash a lot, starting to be unresponsive and only solution is to restore or reflash.. i have this routine for about 5 months, but i still am on C-ROM, im maybe crazy but its worth the hassle, cos rom is best.. for me

any reason why I would be getting com.android.systemui crashing eveytime I reboot the phone?

It only happens upon a reboot and seems to work fine afterwards.

Have only installed it today, only changes made is with the MultiDPI Market flash, have tried DPIs of 160 - 200 - 213 - 200 and they all FC the SystemUI on reboot.

I have TWRP and a KK kernal, and unfortuatly I have issues with every 4.4.4 rom I try, usually they are all just too slow with lags ecept this one which is the best so far except for the FC

EDIT: Nevermind, I worked it out, having Heads Up (whatever that is?) When this is enabled the Android System UI FCs on reboot, turn off and no issues, rom is working well.

After one week using this rom I found it very unstable. My smartphone turns off from nothing several times a day, and also it drains battery faster than usual. Anyone is having the same problems?

Hi Xetiro,

You need to look for another rom, this group (amazing, as it once was) is no longer building roms for any devices, nor have they been for a while now.... So any bugs will remain there, FOREVER!!!!

I believe the new rom that has replaced this one, since then... is now "Spirit Rom" and can be found in relivent thread or Google+ group.

Many thanks, Lister

Hi @xetiro,

You're welcome, Spirit Rom (which can be found at its home page, here is a nice rom with lots of features....

For our Note (N7000) JackEagle is our maintainer.... and currently we are on v1.6

v1.7 is the latest, and seems to be loads of bug fixes roll up, and some new features... Jack has said that he will compile v1.7 for us, but I guess he has a lot of other personal work on at the moment... and we MUST respect him for that....

You can find some of his older builds for this rom here: https://s.basketbuild.com/devs/Jackeagle/Spirit/N7000/

Hope this helps, Lister

Thank you!

I am now taking a look on that Spirit Rom :)

Hi @abdullahchoudhary97,

1) Never ask for an ETA...

2) There won't be a Android 5.0 C-Rom ever!!! / or Spirit rom for our device, not from the original maintainer anyway....

Please be a bit more considerate when asking... thank you.
And If I might add, When someone observed and STATED that a rom has not been updated for a period of time (above 1-3 months) and starts his question pointing at whether the rom will be continued or not, I think they shouldn't be considered asking for ETA's. Well like so many disclaimers, "Terms and Conditions Apply". LoL
