I see where you are coming from zulu99, I think I will make the switch to your rom, is an update to 1.7 coming soon as if it is I will hold off installing 1.6 and wait for your 1.7 ??

Thanks ;)
The bluetooth is easy to add, i suggest to install 1.6 and add bluetooth.
I want test many others configurations and things before publish a new version.
Is not necessary for now. I can work with calm.

Got it, just extracted on PC used file drop to send to device and cut paste and set permissions!!
Well done bruh!! Loving my sound bar and SS!!!

---------- Post added at 12:39 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:07 PM ----------

No mic on headset for me. Just to clarify headset with mic and earbuds LG, no sound input for things like voice to text or google now. Is this something in my settings that I'm missing or not a added function?
Bluetooth input is not mentioned in my achievements. Sound input only from usb webcam for now.

But i want clarify one thing. Many of users in this thread, not understand well what mean modify the source code related to hardware part i think.
When you see in xda others custom rom, you will find always a custom rom with original parts about the hardware.
Usually developers modify only the framework parts, not the basic functionality of the hardware stuff.

What we have is already a miracle, because many things about hardware parts are specific things that only the manufacturer can understand well.

The device tree and vendor stuff is somerhing that others developer of custom rom not modify. But we are forced to do that to transform nexus player in a standard android device, that born with this limitations in mind.

Under all limitations there is a reason that protect economic interests of sellers of movies and songs. Reflect.

I understand and hope you didn't take my question as greed!! I just wanted to make sure my fly mouse with mic wasn't changing the mic input or something.
What you have done is amazing, I wouldn't even want this puck without your ROM on it!!! I truly love and appreciate it, I tried to do a ROM fork once and that was hard for me, so rebuilding the architecture takes a master!!
I have or have had many Android Boxes rk3188, rk3288, a80, a31 and what you have done all by yourself far exceeds the crap on those things!!!
Thank you a thousand times sir!!!

Zulu, you're amazing! Thanks for making my player useful! 1.6 works great. One question for everyone. Anyone having issues casting? My 5.0.1 phone sees the player but when I try to connect the player disappears and it never connects. I'll troubleshoot more this evening.

I think you not have the last bootloader. In readme inside LolliRock firmware, i suggest to start from last stock 5.1 and after install LolliRock just for this reason.

As a brother, i suggest you to use my DroidMote to control well a full version of Android. You need also multi-touch, specially in new versions of Android.
You need only a good router and a good client device to have the best experience.
But the real reason of my suggestion is because i consider the fly mouse, a mouse with Parkinson's disease.
I thrown from the balcony over ten air mouse also because this chinese things create interference with wifi.

I also had many many Android Boxes a10, rk3066, rk3188, rk3288, a80, a31 We used the same garbage :)

But preferences are preferences. I respect you.

Is there a way to disable Display/Sleep?

I've been using my Nexus Player on LolliRock v1.6 to play music while I work, is there a way to disable the Sleep mode? Currently all I am able to do is set Sleep to 30 minutes and then to do some type of activity on my Nexus Player every 30 minutes to keep it from going to sleep.

Oops, missed that part. Is it safe to just flash the bootloader from the official 5.1? or should i flash the stock NP 5.1 fully?

Look in developer options

Are you going to add the Bluetooth audio fix in the next future ROM? Thanks

Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk 2
Sure, now we are testing it with a manual update.

I like manual update so also not expert users can understand what we change and how important is that you can be the administrator of your own device.

Android without root is like a Ferrari without engine :)

The manufacturer want be the only one with administrator permissions. But we have spent money to buy this device so the administrator should be only the owner.

Is like when you buy an house and the old owner have the keys of your new house.

Crazy world the Android world about administrator permissions. This happen, not for security reason, but only to protect economic interests of big company.

Root permissions add more security, infact you can protect yourself also from this big company that have key / root permission on your personal device and also from all others insecurity.

I love this rom so much. I have an HTPC connected to my PC that I'll soon be able to repurpose because I can do almost everything on this little hockey puck. One (low priority) request. Some apps, force portrait mode. There is currently no way I can find to change it back. I downloaded an app from the play store that has cured it. I was thinking it would be nice to have it built into the rom. Again, very low priority. Thought I'd mention it :) I can live without it, if it's a pain to implement.

Spotify and Tapatalk both force portrait on initial screen load. But once you login, it loads in landscape.

Rotation Locker from Google Play. Long press on landscape and also bad apps start and stay forced in landscape.

The firmware already have only Landscape mode that a developer can check with standard google api, but unfortunately there are developers that would be more useful in the land to harvest the fruits of the trees.

This firmware in etc permissions have only android.hardware.screen.landscape and not android.hardware.screen.portrait

Infact the number of apps with this bad behaviour is little. What this mean ? Developer fault.

Sorry I couldn't find this anywhere in the thread. Does the stock bluetooth nexus player remote work with UI navigation on lollirock?
And is it possible to use lollirock then install the leanback launcher from the play store or atleast have the leanback UI working?? just to have the nice launcher or leanback UI but have the ability to use all apps?

Thanks! :]

CIFS question?

I'm using the LolliRock v1.6 ROM and am trying to setup CIFS and am having difficulties.

I can browse my network and connect to my hard drive attached to my router using ES File Explorer. Trying to use cifsManager to mount a folder on my Nexus Player. I see the a cifs folder was created (/mnt/cifs/) When I try to use cifsManager and mount the network path, I keep getting an error that mounting has failed, "no such device". I also get an "invalid argument" if I try a different path/folder.

Am I doing something wrong? Or is anyone else having this problem?

What is precisely this cifsManager app that you are try to using ? The link.

Root apps must be rewritten to work with Lollipop as Chainfire explain in the "how to su" guide. So if this app is old should be updated to work with LolliPop.

If es file explorer work, and es file explorer was for sure updated, i imagine your problem can be an old app.

Only question, nothing special.
