I not added the audio bluetooth stuff to the 1.7 version, because i already suspected 5.1.1LMY47V -- 5.1.1 just landed for the Nexus Player in the form of Factory Image. Should be pushed to AOSP soon.
You're awesome manI not added the audio bluetooth stuff to the 1.7 version, because i already suspected 5.1.1
5.1.1 should be a little update so in little time i hope to update.
The source is already in AOSP and i'm already on it.
Definitely going to try this out! I was actually going to comment, that the only thing I'm noticing on 1.6 is now glitchy Netflix got. I hope this helps. Will report back. Thanks!Awesome!
BTW, I noticed that Play Store downloaded apps for Netflix and Hulu did not provide the high quality picture that stock Nexus Player versions of those apps provided. The Store version of Netflix was fuzzy, 480p or less. The Hulu Play Store app was better for still images but moving figures had artifacting around the edges. So I looked for archived Nexus Player versions of those apps and installed them. I wasn't sure they would run on my LolliRock'n Player but they installed and ran fine. And the quality of the archived Nexus Player .apk's video? EXCELLANT!
Here's where I found the archived, original Nexus Player apps:

I think it also has to do how an app is setup to search for a directory in Android. MAME4droid is able to see my NFS mount I created with CIFS. RetroArch is not able to see the exact same path. I have noticed this behavior with a few other apps. Another example is that VLC player can see the mount with no problem but MX player can not see it. I just do not know enough about Android to identify why some Apps can see the path and others can't. Maybe @zulu99 can see why this is happening.Hopefully, between @chibluboy & @zulu99 we can figure out an NFS mount. We tried the CIFS mount, it worked at first but other apps don't see it again. For example, our emulators arent seeing it anymore but ES File explorer does. Might have to retry all over again but would so much rather an NFS mount. We will keep trying. Fingers crossed.
Was wondering if anyone can comment on using these apks Lollirock 1.6? I tried using the Netflix one, the app installed successfully, but at the end of it, the "open" button was greyed out. Nothing under installed apps.Awesome!

Exactly what I'm experiencing.I installed the archived Netflix & it seemed to be working. But looking in Settings > Apps and found 2 Netflix apps with same icons, the Google Store ver. 3.~ & the archived 1.~. After uninstalling the 3.~ I no longer had any Netflix icon on the desktop, though Settings > Apps still shows the archived Netflix version installed but I can,t get it to run.
I'm against all form of piracy, but when read something like that, or better an user that pay for a service and can't use the app because of the crap protections, i think that maybe services / app like Popcorn Time are the right consequence.I installed the archived Netflix & it seemed to be working. Awesome! Thank you!LolliRock 2.0 based on Android 5.1.1 LMY47V is in first post.
thats because archived netflix is different from mainstream one, different signature etc, and it is specially made for android tv.it can only be launched from leanback launcher and it works fine. in your case you never actually ran an archived netflix and only improvement you saw on your original post is a placebo , or most likely netflix just improving to 720p when connection gets faster and it buffers enough.I installed the archived Netflix & it seemed to be working.
