NP, in "Overscan Area" > "Set overscan area", change 0,0,0,0 to something like 40,22,40,23. FYI, the numbers seem to be pixels of overscan, one for each edge. The first number is the left edge, second is top, third is right, fourth is bottom.
After you change the overscan area, drop down to "MISC" > "Set on boot" and check that box. Now the overscan stays adjusted when you reboot. However, even though you made the change persistant, the UI Tuner control panel, when you open it, doesn't display your change, but the change is there.
thank you so much. been struggling with this for a while!

I installed Lollirock, but was having inconsistent issues with using stickmount pro and foldermount. It was not working every time. I read about Android M Preview 3, so I flashed the new Preview 3 yesterday on some spare time. There was an option to format a drive as a removable storage android could read better. So I reformatted a 500gb HD I had laying around. After playing with Android M for a few hours, I decided I couldn't live with the leanback launcher the Nexus Player Preview 3 was using. So I switched back to Lollirock 2.1. I hooked the external hard drive to my computer to reformat it for Lollirock use. I guess I assumed it wouldn't work? Anyway, the drive opened up and I noticed a folder directory "lost.dir"

Lightbulb.

I ejected the usb HD, and plugged it into the usb hub on the nexus. Opened up ES file explorer (without stickmount installed at all) and what do you know..... a mounted external drive with all my content on it. This means no more stick mount and any errors associated with it. So this is a fix for having a pnp removeable storage on Lollirock 2.1. I imagine a drive formatted like this would work with any 5.1 lollipop +otg?

Lots of work, and the only reason I found this was pure accident. I hope it helps someone until @zulu99 has a 6.0 version available.

I'm on LolliRock with a 32GB flash drive mounted as my internal storage. So far I have over 14GB of apps & games installed, waiting for a SSD, I just bought and will swap in a 120GB SSD, instead of this 32GB drive. Anyway, I never installed StickMount, ever, and you can see from the screenshot, it's been working great the last few months.

Do you know if the SSD will have the same performance as the stock drive? I have a 16gb M.2 SSD in an external enclosure, but I don't like the idea of creating lag or a slower experience.

How did you mount a flash drive as internal memory?

Not a chance I'll trade full Android by this bs Android marshmallow TV. My player is sticking with lp till we get an update for lollirock, otherwise, lp forever, haha! At least Google was swift this time with the binaries.

Well were always going to be limited by the micro USB port which has only USB 2.0 speeds. Only way around that's to crack the NP open, which I'm hardly any innovator, I can follow someone else's instructions pretty well, but don't have enough balls to try anything first myself.
Look at this way, we're using the best with what we have available at this point and if lag is more important than capacity, don't add anything at all. I don't mind an extra second or two, at least I'm able to do what I want with it, than have it be fast, without the ability to do anything fun at all..
I've always known the USB 2.0 would a limiting factor when I bought it, so I never set my expectations that high.

Kinda hard to post links on my phone but check out the "Data2USB" thread, hit back and it'll be one of the other threads here, either up top of below this one, started by Deez Troy, the TWRP guy.

Forgot to mention, if you guys are going to give it a shot, don't format the ext4 partition on another machine, like a PC with Mini Partition Wizard. I never got it to work that way, don't know why? It's way easier though, simply format the drive with TWRP, the NP's custom recovery. While in recovery, "mount" the "USB OTG drive" (your new drive), there's an option to "format" it in the menus, look for the "change file system" button and select "ext4." After this, you can flash the Data2USB.zip, reboot, I may take awhile, but after that you'll be in LolliRock. Head over to "settings," then "storage" and verify your ">5GB total storage."

The work on Android 6 was started and I am well advanced.

If my spare time is sufficient, i think that this week-end i will upload a first beta version.

xfinity tv isn't working :(
I couldn't install the TWC app or HBO Go. I sideloaded TWC and it worked fine for me.

Hey guys,

I'm having issues with my screen cast. Was wondering if anyone was having the same issue or not?

I cast using either my S3, my girlfriend's S6 or my Nexus 10 onto our big screen TV, which is hooked up to the Nexus Player. The casting option comes and go constantly. I'll go into Display>Cast Screen, it'll find my Nexus Player, and the cast option on YouTube will appear. The video will finish casting and the cast button will again disappear. I'll then have to go back into Display options, give me a few seconds (some times a couple minutes) before it'll recognize the Nexus Player again and regain cast functionality.

When the cast works, it works great, but it drops constantly. Is this common? Or perhaps I'm missing something? Thanks!

Same for me I was working but my phone is on 6.0 now, I'm thinking perhaps that's the problem. Did you upgrade casting device to marshmallow?

I have same problem, think it's a memory management issue and, sometimes, a router problem. Restarting everything clears it up for me.
I've tried power cycling. That didn't really make a difference. I was behind a DNS service, which I disabled, made no difference either.

I can't find much of a pattern. Some days it'll take a couple seconds to connect and other times the option won't come up for 8, 10 minutes.

Thanks for the reply though.
