Clean flashed again quick settings are holding now although I had to apply settings twice for auto rotate tile to hold... I'm thinking the tiles I'm missing like " SYNC " aren't missing the were just available on another ROM I guess quick settings are different on other Roms.. I've been faithful for to long not aware of what else is out there and forgot what its like here.

@darklord. I have family in Lehigh valley ...

Lehigh Valley is a nice place to live. Especially Bethlehem Tsp.

Confession time... my primary phone is a Note 2 these days. I still have the GNex but my son uses it now. What I learned the hard way is that other than a CM ROM you can forget about AOSP. Also, the hardware support while impressive isn't perfect. I gave up on even thinking of doing a ROM of the type of stability that I like to use as a daily driver and I currently only use the stock ROM out of frustration. It isn't like there was a Nexus device available on Verizon anyway and I'm stuck on Verizon if I want usable service in my area.

I have my fingers crossed that this new pattern of more Google experience phones and the promising look of the Moto X will give us better options going forward. We'll have to see... but regardless, any new Nexus devices I'll try to support with the ROM so they're probably a safe bet.

It doesn't sound like you grabbed the FV ROM.

Yep. Grabbed vanilla by accident. Thanks!

More recent GAPPS?

Does anybody have a link to a more recent GAPPS package for 4.2.2 that doesn't have Talk, Sound Search, and the other things that have been moved to the Play Store since March of this year? I thought I remembered Tiny (or someone else - forgive me if I'm wrong) may have had their own GAPPS page on goo.im that was kept more up to date than the CM GAPPS landing page, but I can't seem to find it at the moment.

Thanks.

I've had good luck in the past with Bank's unofficial GAPP's package which he posts in the N4 forum, although I normally just grab the official one to be honest. He has a minimal GAPPs which might be what you want. It's also more current: http://nexus4.longren.org/banks/

Been awhile, started going around Roms and ended back at yours as a stock. At first I just left the ROM on for a day because I just didn't wanna flash anymore but after seeing how badass the battery life was I'm not moving on.

I got 0-1 bars since I moved and the battery on others have fried quickly. However, I can't remember which one I flashed but it has the reboot options. If someone could point me to more mod options I'd greatly appreciate it.

It's been so long since I've flashed a ROM update, that I'm not sure if I'm missing something. My Fast Charge app used to work just fine, but now it won't charge as AC power source, only USB.

Running 7/12 mmuzzy, 4.20 tiny kernel

I even reinstalled Fast Charge, but no change. Am I missing something else that I need to do for the Fast Charge to be enabled?

willyjay - Is there a way to just flash the dark t9 dialer and the % circle battery from this mod?

THank you!

EDIT: I was able to pull everything out and make just a dialer flasher, but I am not sure about the circle battery mod.. do you have a circle battery only mod still?

Glad you got the dialer to flash......No, at this moment I don't have a circle only battery (with everything else stock). I'll try to get to it sometime today.

Tiny added a patch that allows you to fast charge and use Data at the same time, I would check Tiny's thread for more info.

Quick question

I'm still rocking my mmuzzy ROM (from April?) as I haven't had time to be consistent about updates (plus it "just works"). I put an earlier version of your ROM (most current 4.1.x) on my wife's phone, and haven't done any updates for her since she is really happy with how her phone works, battery life, etc. (if it aint broke, no need to fix, especially when it involves tinkering with her phone)

on very anecdotal observation, it appears that her phone is more responsive, and I know I read somewhere that some users who had some issues with input lag had good experiences going back to 4.1.x based ROMS. There are a number of reasons my phone could be more laggy, and none of them have to do with your ROM as far as I'm concerned, so defo not a complaint about the ROM.

My plan is to clean flash most recent version, and pull any/all apps off the phone (a likely culprit) that I'm not really using to see how that goes. But - If i wanted to flash the last 4.1.x ROM that you produced, do you know offhand which version that was? (i looked in your file repository, and they are named by date of release?)

I know the G-Nex is a little long in the tooth these days (the other likely culprit), and have read (or listened) about other gnex users having trouble with input lag, so I know software wont fix hardware, but just curious, now that i have a bit more time to tinker.

I know there are some up on ROM manager but I don't have any 4.1 ROMs archived beyond that.

That's normal for it to still say usb charging for the newer kernel. With the new fast charge code the charging rate increases without switching to ac mode. Check the charging rates as they will be faster. Tested by me and the contributor.

I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this question but I'm going to ask anyway. 4.3 leaked for the 4 last night. We can't make any use of that without the source code correct ?

AOSP JellyBean 4.3. Official Source hot off the AOSP servers. This ROM is AOSP. The only files that were changed or added were to make things nicely functional.
