man! can't catch a break even dirty flashing from newest vanilla to french vanilla?

Didn't think vanilla -> French vanilla was dirty flashable. I always clean flash going from one version to another.

man! can't catch a break even dirty flashing from newest vanilla to french vanilla? got system to boot fine after rom flash, realized I forgot gapps. went and flashed that, system booted, and then back to the welcome / setup screen with a weird request to launch either Google text to speech or pico tts, then setup crashes and the os never loads..
If there really isn't anything new, I'm gonna call it a night and go back to my backup of 12/22 build..
mmuzz, i'm sure its the n00b in me getting stuff junked up.

To be honest, I would have thought you could actually. From Vanilla to FV that is, but sometimes it's just time to do a clean flash.

Bluetooth and 02/02 build

The BT bug still exists. When connected via BT to headphones I'll go out of range and when I come back it will say I'm connected when I'm not. Going into App settings and clearing the data/cache for BT lets me reconnect without rebooting. After doing this 3 times today at work I decided to go with my ear buds. maybe someday Google will fix this.
Outside of that this latest FV MMuzzy ROM is slick, smooth, peppy, and stable. Great work MMuzzy.

I am now addicted to ChocolateMilk and am having a hard time figuring out whether I want to be left behind or jump back to FrenchVanilla.

I love Muzzy and this rom but he's been clear that chocolate milk is not in the main update path if any path. If you like CM, try the nightly train. Once you have it there are even apps (I use cyandelta) that will make a delta file and zip to the newest nightly.

Like I said, not trying to be disrespectful to MMuzzy because he's got a great thing going here that I love but if you're digging CM right now, you might as well have the latest. They pushed the latest android version in last night's build even. Good luck.

No offense taken. I actually made it clear in the op it wasn't my intention to update it. The ROM was an experiment and frankly it isn't for me. Balancing things with the ROM and life away from the keyboard is challenging enough for me. If you liked that ROM then Cyanogenmod will probably be a better fit.

Not really an issue, just an observation. The quick settings control panel is showing up in the Vanilla build but doesn't actually do anything. Otherwise, looking good. Thanks for the updates. :good:

The apk is being copied? That's confusing. Simply delete it from the apps folder as it won't do anything in the unmodified framework. Sorry for the confusion.

For some reason I cannot get my launcher to stick. It isn't every time but every now and then the stock launcher will be used and if I hit the home button it goes back to nova launcher.(I really just like it over stock for the search bar being on 1 screen not all)

You should actually be quite proud, your ROM is smoother and more stable than "real" CM. Those of us who took the "hit" now have a jonze for Mmuzzified goodness.

Is adb's freedom theme compatible with the latest build? I'm wondering because I wanted to give that one a try now after using WillyJay's theme for a while. Btw that theme is really really nice and colorful with its notifications and certain icons I just want to try something different.
