Hi!!!
I have been using Carbon ROM for last 2 weeks, I have been mostly happy except Occasional Soft-Reboot while making Calls.
However I was in a Road trip and Roaming for last three days and I faced two major issues on this ROM. However the issue seems to be in the KK/CM built itself, I am a noob so excuse if these issues are resoled or not relevent:

1. I would loose GPS signal after few seconds or about a minute or show. Since I was exploring a new interior place the GPS was necessary and I really had a hard time. This same issue for Nexus 5 and the workaround has been discussed here, I have not tried with only 2G mode: https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=72311

2. Another issue I faced was while Roaming the Network Status does not show data type (E/G/H+) and only shows "R" for roaming. This issue has been discussed here. https://jira.cyanogenmod.org/browse/CYAN-4726

I made an Antutu benchmark test on stock, raw, and forest kernels to see what effect do they have on parts of the phone functions and got some interesting results. I can't say much on battery life as my usage varies each day, so I decided to test only the phone capabilities itself.

Edit: Before anyone thinks this is a "best kernel post", it is not. If you look at the values they fluctuate from one kernel to another so it is up to you to decide what you want out of them.

Constant variable:
Pegasusq governor, row scheduler. 200-1400 Mhz
Stock kernel does not have trim, while r10 and Forest does.

I liked sthe slimROM, but now I have Paranoid 5.1.1 and I like that too.

I tried Remix, but no, not what I wanted.

Things I like:
software buttons
When waking the phone, only the lock pattern, not the screen I must swipe to get the lock pattern.
rotating the phone in all directions.

On the paranoid blog first link it doesn`t find the N7000 or any reference on it.
