Yeah, the basic GApps should work just fine, too. Yep, you can use MicroG, too as a substitute. Is Gapps really a necessary dependency? I prefer to go with as little proprietary (google) software as possible, thats why I'am asking. Is it possible that microG might work as a substitute? I think imma try that. Thanks for the answer
Okay, got it. Yeah, it sometimes misbehaves for some weird reason. But yeah, reflashing magisk should fix it, as you said. Thank you for the clarification.I 'dirty flashed' your latest update over my previous installation of RevengeOS and everything seemed fine. The install script detected my Magisk v22 installation and reinstalled it and told me there was no need to reflash Magisk.
After sometime, I started to realise that apps that I had already granted root privileges to (eg. Macrodroid) were not working properly. There were no errors, no root permission popups (they had already been granted prior to the dirty flash) & nothing in the Magisk log.
I had to manually reflash Magisk in Recovery before everything would work properly, even although the ROM install script told me that Magisk was successfully installed.
Flash FlameGApps, NikGApps has some issues with GPS for some reason.Nikgapps-basic. Frankly the system is behaving peculiar once in a while. For example it shows errors in notifications saying that this permission couldn't be requested so set it manually in app settings!
Why can't you update post#1 to tell folks to use FlameGapps rather than NikGapps? Then you wouldn't have to keep answering this question (although why NikGapps is causing a problem is still unknown).Flash FlameGApps, NikGApps has some issues with GPS for some reason.
Okay, let me update it. Only the latest build of NikGApps is causing the issue so, I refrained myself from updating it.Why can't you update post#1 to tell folks to use FlameGapps rather than NikGapps? Yes, because of the kernel. You can change to the stable Predator Stormbreaker X4.5 and it will be fixed. Is there an issue with battery charging on the latest ROM update?
In Settings > Battery I'm seeing a message that says "Plugged in, can't charge at the moment", and the battery level is stuck on 15%. I've never seen that before (granted this is on a cheap USB charger, but it has always worked before as "Charging slowly" with the percentage increasing slowly).
It means a lot, yeah it is like that. It resets by itself. You'll have to set it up everytime. I'll try to fix it. Thank you.Hi, first i wanna thank you for your work. I have a problem to change a profile from "balance" to "extreme battery" (I attach the screenshots) when a select different profile, come back to "Balance" by default. Please help or fix. Greets.
Yes, it is a source issue. You have to wait for now; we are working on it. Hopefully, it will be fixed soon enough. There is a USSD codes problem on this ROM, i've seen it on multiple threads on XDA so it's probably RevengeOS source related and not just on Lavender, is there any patch / fix for this or do we have to wait for an update ?
Thank you, wait on. Let me send it here.
Got it. The transparency issue! It is a source side bug, I will talk to them to fix it. Sorry for the inconvenience.
