Does it matter if I'm on the m preview bootloader? I tried flashing this earlier and got an error message. I double checked the md5 and they matched so not sure why it wouldn't flash. I may try again and try to get a recovery log.

The recovery log.

Figured it out. I had to unmount system. Never had to do that before lol.

I applied a layer [specifically the Playstation theme] and the navbar icons look small. Anyone else has this issue? Tried it with two layers and same results.

Greetings,

I just installed this ROM because i wanted a very pure experience. Did a full wipe (data included), and everybody went smoothly but I have one annoying problem.
I'm trying to install Google Play Games from the store, but I constantly am getting
Code:
Error - Unknown error code during application install: "-505"
I tried clearing the cache of Google Play Store and Google Play Services to no avail. Tried doing a Factory Reset, also to no avail.
Decided to wipe everything, re-install the ROM, install SuperSU, then going to the store to install the Play Games right away...same error message.
Anybody able to provide some guidance or assistance? If this is not ROM-related, please point me in the right direction?

Thank you

*Edit: I'm using the following gapps:
TK GApps Pico Modular 5.1.1 - 20150705

I've wiped everything clean again, re-installed the ROM, this time with OpenGapps Pico... but i'm getting the exact same error code when trying to install Google Play Games... I am able to install and update other apps though...
Any suggestions or recommendations of what I could try?

Sounds like a for Google, then, if it's that one app.

There's plenty on SO about it... http://stackoverflow.com/questions/...ows-unknown-error-code-during-application-ins

Question, I'm not asking about any timeline or anything just curious if this is going to be updated to the new aosp release with the security update in it?

    AOSP-Shamu

    Information

This is a pure AOSP ROM with no tweaks, extra features or messing around - just fixes for game breaking issues.

This is for purists who just want a totally stock AOSP experience.

    Features
    • Android 5.1.1_r5 - LYZ28E
    • Pure AOSP
    • Odex'd and ART optimised
    • OTA Updates (handled by RomHut)
    • Layers v2.1
    • USB OTG enabled
    • Google update service blocked (no wakelock)

    Download

    Android Lollipop 5.1.1

    Download AOSP-Shamu 20150714

    Github: here

    Note:
SuperSU is not included by default. I toyed with this idea, and figured it best to leave that up to you to root if you so wish. Many of the intended features of this ROM will work ok without root.

    Installation instructions

TWRP 2.8.7.1 or greater is preferred. CWM should be considered "abandoned" these days
    1. Copy the ROM files to your device (I prefer to keep a folder especially for anything ROM related)
    2. Choose "install" in TWRP
    3. Locate this ROM
    4. (Optional) Queue up some other files like SuperSU
    5. Flash

Decided to add Layers for you guys. Found some fixes for various things in the CM device repository, including Wi-Fi display/screen mirroring. Will start looking for adding HDR to the camera, if currently possible.

Warning, though, this is new a "user" build, so it comes force encrypted :D I've provided a non-encrypted kernel in the addons section for the ROM on RomHut (though it's untested, it should work). Should be ok if you flash the ROM, then the kernel, before booting.

I've been known to sleep from time to time!

Awesome, good to know thanks, I'll give it a go or lean / hells. Those are the kernels I use most of the time anyway. Thanks again.

Edit: The kernel that doesn't force encryption in the add ons section did work. ROM booted unecrypted. Just though I'd follow up to let you know. Peace.
