First build of Marshmallow for the Z1 based on my Z Ultra build.
Will upload sources to github asap.

Working:
-Boots
-Screen
-Brightness
-Orientation sensor
-Ambient light sensor
-Wifi
-Bluetooth
-IMEI shows up, still have to test with SIM

Not working:
-Camera
-NFC
-GPS (haven´t tested yet)
-Internal SD doesn´t mount right - As pointed out by tgascoigne, if you´re playing around with the mount points and Android asks you to format it, DON´T. You will wipe the boot and system partitions.

Changelog:

Alpha 3:
-New device files

Alpha 2: (Only for Togari/Z Ultra)
-Fixed modem
-Fixed libperipheral_client

Alpha 1:
Initial release

Download:

Play store fc when try to install any app.

---------- Post added at 11:03 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:00 AM ----------

Also can't save screensot

Correct, /sdcard/ and /storage/emulated/0/ don't link to /data/media/0/ atm, which causes Play Store to crash and other apps to be unable to save data. We're working on this, expect a fresh build soon.

This site claims to have a working rom with everything working for the z1. Will download it and test when I get home. It appears that they are using your drive as download location.

http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/xperia-z-u...allow-update-via-aosp-rom-how-install-1523907

This site says they sourced the info from another site. That another site has download links for Xperia Z and Z1 compact, nothing for Z1. Although the ibtimes.co.uk claims everything is working, the original (source) says except camera.

It looks and sounds like fake. In addition, you are exposing your bootloader unlocked device to something you have no idea about. What if that image modifies your bootloader? You won't be able to reverse the change at all...

Ril will be working in next version.
If the internal storage bug is fixed, we will upload it!

Awesome!:D How about the external storage? Looking forward to flash!

p.s: any news about the camera, gps and nfc?

edit: after flashing the gapps, is it possible to keep them updated via the playstore?

External storage doesn't work yet; neither do nfc and the camera. Haven't tested gps yet. Unfortunately Google apps are pretty unstable because of the internal sd bug, which we are looking into atm.

EDIT: I have uploaded Alpha 3 which should fix RIL. Can anyone confirm this? I don´t have a spare SIM lying around atm.

For now only RIL is fixed. Others will follow gradually.

Sent from my C6903 using XDA Free mobile app
SD card fix: https://github.com/sonyxperiadev/device-sony-rhine/commit/0bc7d8317ac0411f820a80b0e836a142cbd11729 and https://github.com/sonyxperiadev/kernel/pull/448

the screenoff bug is caused by the proximitysensor not functioning. The sensor is constantly reporting "near".

On 5.1.1 I fixed this by replacing the lib from an earlier sonyxperiadev blob package on Z1C. But did not help here. Looking into this

Recovery is not built in. If you update your bootloader with emma you can flash a permanent recovery to a real recovery partition.

GPS was not working well and should be fixed in a next build.

Also I expect to solve an headset audio issue on omnirom today

here to report that the sim is working fine , i was able to use mobile data and receve some sms from the operator. tested with Orange Romania.

Thanks for your report! I'll add Ril as working in the OP - haven't had the time to test it myself. A new build will be coming up tomorrow, which should increase Ril compatability and fix nfc :) I'll also look into the camera soon.
