Hello @apophis9283. I have tried this custom ROM and I want to say that is one of the best out there for our device., great job! I have tried most of them and I went back to OOS just after a couple of hours. There are just 2 bugs that I have noticed. The first one is with the lockscreen. If I am on the desktop and press the power button to lock the phone, the phone locks, then a I can see my wallpaper fpr like 0.2 seconds, then the phone locks again, kinda annoying. The other one is witht he Ambient Display. The battery percentage should apear in the bottom of the screen, not remain in the upper right corner. Maybe you can fix them sometimes. Again, good job for the ROM, I was not hoping to find such a smooth one.

No doubt this is one the best ROM out for Dumplings. But
Can you please add belotta font , anyways we can get it through magisk module but it you add it won't require to flash module and also In bliss ROM when we install substratum overlays it did not requires reboot , If you can implement that feature in Aex then it would be great to use this.
Other then ROM is bug free no issue at all.

Not sure what you mean with the wallpaper issue.

Where the percentage is on, always on, very possible. I'd have to peek at the code for that.

I seem to be getting a lot of users from OOS. Not sure if this is your first time with a custom ROM or not. But the idea here with AOSP based ROMs, is not to mimic OOS. Quite the opposite. Taking AOSP and adding some good features without blowing out the ROM with so many features you end up modifying the base too much. Thought Id get that out there for future folks coming from OOS

That's true, because custom ROMs are not the same as they used to be. I am flashing them for almost 8 years and this is the only phone which I had a custom ROM for not more than 3-4 days, mostly because of the battery drain and the lag. But I have to say this one surprises me, battery life seemed quite good and the total experience was also fine. So it's natural that people compare this ROM with OOS, because as far as we can tell, there are not that many good custom ROMS for our device.

I'm glad you feel that way.

What is "smurfutil"?
Something I decided not to add. Honestly I want to remove helix. Too many schedulers that are similar.

So the reason nothing's been posted, is because I'm getting build environment errors at 98 percent. So bad and weird, it's looking like I'm going to have to clean flash linux (grrr).

I'm reinstalling Linux as we speak. The great thing is that my out folder for the ROM and ccache is a separate ssd. So I just need to establish a build environment and compile

It's finally compiling. I couldn't get it to see my ccache dir, so I'm just gonna let it compile

This has been a nightmare. Finally have XDA installed on my phone. No idea why afh keeps failing.

I've transfered the file to my windows partition. I'll upload it from there. Give me a minute

Enjoy, this whole thing was the biggest pain the a**. I had to use google drive for the ROM link, cause after uploading the firmware, AFH refused to work. CLEAN FLASH ONLY!!!!, FLASH THE 9.0.5 FIRMWARE BEFORE FLASHING V-2.3. So 2.3> needs 9.0.5 which is provided in the OP

I signed up for 5 hours OT, starting at 1pm est. I don't get off until 6. So I won't have access to see if anyone has had an issue. And tomorrow my 4, 10 hour days start again. So just be patient. Although, I haven't had a single issue and I've finally set up my phone. Nightscape is part of OOS cam now.

Read the whole OP! Be respectful to each other and don't ask for ETAs, it's considered as being rude!

AOSP Extended is an AOSP based ROM which provides stock UI/UX with various customisations features along with the Substratum theme engine. The project has been made by cherry-picking various commits from various other projects. Being based on AOSP it provides a smooth and lag-free experience out of the box. We will constantly try to add more features and make it even better in future updates. A ROM by a user, for a user. #StayAOSP #ExtendYourDevice #BeExtended

    Np7jfnY.png

#ExtendYourDevice Here are the Extensions! on top of AOSP! We are constantly trying to update the list. Our aim is not to provide all the features available on earth. We are not thinking of cherry-picking every feature out there. Our aim is to add important features that we think should be here and also what you think.

This is AEX ROM, my personal builds. I do things a bit differently from official, including versioning. My kernel is included (Krieg)

Theres some rules here. WED-SAT are my work days. Dont expect a response on those days, although Ill try my best. Be patient, thats the only way this project will last.

If encrypted and coming from any other ROM, you must wipe the entire device!!!! (FORMAT DATA!!)

This inlcudes fully functioning OP camera. As well as AdAway.

Nethunter kernel features should work. Ive had issues with atheros chipsets.

YOU MUST BE ON 9.0.6 FIRMWARE!!!

Thanks to all devs especially the ones from AEX. Without everyone there wouldnt be custom ROMs and kernels.

I hate to say it guys. The time I had for this is fading. I will not be doing anything until "Q" and time is available. This build serves me well. I'm betting I can run this until Q and not have any issues. I will leave the OP up. I'll close the thread. The last build will stay up for download.

Thank you to each and everyone of you. I thank all the other ROM devs, especially AEX. Hats off to all the other kernel devs. This community has always been amazing and Pie has been no different.

Im not releasing tonight. Im tired, and honestly might as well make a build where its worthy of an update. However, Im running the newest build and I thought Id show you what Ive gotten so far.

1.9 will be uploaded in about 10 minutes or so.

Before anyone asks, I dont care if you clean or dirty flash, I just dont want to hear about any issue until a clean flash has been performed.

    Hope you guys enjoy.

    Edit: it's up
