[ROM] Archos 101XS : Stock Firmware 4.1.4 with root

Hello !


The last Archos 101XS Firmware (4.1.4 ) with Root is here! This Rom is based on stock Android system by Archos (Firmware 4.1.4).

This Rom can be installed only if you have already enabled SDE on your tablet .

Download :

All necessary files (archos.ext4.update, zImage, initramfs.cpio.lzo) in a single zip :
Archos_4.1.4.zip --> (link come in a few days. Because i'm new, i can't post external link. The file is on Dev-Host server d-h.st/sak)


Installation (same as Surdu Petru's ROM):

connect USB cable ;
unzip Archos_4.1.4.zip into Archos_4.1.4 directory;
copy archos.ext4.update in your device, or > adb push archos.ext4.update /mnt/storage;
go to recovery SDE and Remove android kernel if you have already installed any official firmware !;
go to Flash kernel & Initramfs and copy here zImage and initramfs.cpio.lzo from ( Archos_4.1.4);
Ok ! ... & wait to boot !

Presque parfait

J'ai suivit la procédure mais ai rencontré un petit problème, il faut en effet (dans mon cas) renommer le initramfs.cpio.lzo en initramfs et là tout marche bien !

I've followed the procedure but encoutered a little problem (in my case), just rename initramfs.cpio.lzo to initramfs and all work great !

Hello,
I would like to install your custom rom on my 101 sx but to downgrade to firmware 4.0.26 before i can start.
i can't find this firmware anywhere. Any chance you knowe where i can find it?

I've saved a previous version, 4.1.2, if that helps. But I'd like to grab the 4.1.4 version too, if @Zebio21, @dark-wulf or @cedric31 still have it
