Hey guys, since coming back to Jedi, tried out cleanrom for a while, I've been having random system freezes. It even happened to me once while surfing in Chrome. Screen just turns off and I have to do a battery pull to get it back, which is a pain in the ass since it's in a defender case. I did the full system wipe when I changed roms, and have done it once since then after the third freeze up. Any apps I can run to see what's causing it? Any suggestions would be awesome!

have you checked your download? or md5sum?

I didn't notice if you'd mentioned you were using an older download that worked before or a new one so please accept my apology if I'm asking something you've already done or don't need to do

also if you're on twrp maybe try going to advanced wipe and wipe system 3 times...I'd probably wipe dalvik and cache 3 times too and then try again

I didn't notice if you'd mentioned you were using an older download that worked before or a new one so please accept my apology if I'm asking something you've already done or don't need to do

MD5 checked, I always check that, too many linux installs got borked because of that. :laugh: I'll give that a shot this afternoon when I get home.

This may or may not work but you could tey the fix permission app. But its a crap ahoot trying to pin point the app. Unless chrome is the problem. Try stock for a bit

The phone will lock up when it's in my pocket too. Also had it happen once while running Waze, that was fun!

Does anyone have the problem with the data with edge, 3g, h+? When I'm in 4g signal it's perfect, speed is great but as soon as I get one of those nothing loads, even h+ takes forever or never in this case to load. What can I do?

Maybe the app "android tweak" is conflicting with this Rom? How can I check?

I would say that is likely the case. All those extra mod apps arent always a good idea. They may sound good and all but they can cause more problems then you'd like. Trickster has pretty much everything you need.

Just installed this ROM today coming from another 4.1.2 rom and all I can say is WOW. Really enjoying the improvement in smoothness and quickness. Fortunately have had time to play with all the settings that are available. This will definitely be my new daily driver.

It's been a long standing tradition and pretty much the rule of the site that development threads belong to the developers of said thread, meaning disussions about another devs work does not belong in it, and it's considered rude to do it

that goes for roms and kernels

discussions on the performance of one devs work being used in conjunction with another devs work can be made in private or start a new thread outside of the development area

if anyone needs further clarification on this matter contact a moderator

Will flashing another kernel other than Saber "break" any of the tweaks PT did to the ROM? I remember flashing another kernel and I lost the custom boot screen, but will anything else be effected?

I believe the touch wake feature is a feature you'll lose and possibility of losing oc depening on the kernel

I've had this device for a bit but Ive sort of been quiet while I get it set up but Ive experienced everything you mention and so I have to agree with you except for the thread not existing part ( haha )

yes yes great kernel - Rom combo.
Rom smoothness is amazing providing great battery life.
With moderate use I'm at 1day 15 hour , 4 hour screen on time with 30% battery remaining.
I will easily reach 5 hour screen on mark with 13-15% battery remaining at end of day

Hey all, I flashed saber 23 to do a comparison on my device to see if battery life was per device as some have stated. Now I wanna go back to 25. Is there a link @ptmr3 to 25? Or do I have to flask the rom again to get it back.

Ps...before anyone asks, I did the naughty thing and didn't do a nandroid.

My device is fine I'm just experimenting
