phone call blackout

hey all. just installed last night. gonna stick with this. BUT one problem i have is that when i make or receive a phone call, the screen goes black and i cant turn it back on. pressing the power and home button dont work at ALL. the only way the screen comes back on is when the call is ended. then everything is back to normal. did the install EXACTLY as the post says to. anyone have an idea what it could be?

Search the forums for a proximity fix. I think there's a flash able zip somewhere

thanks very much. found the fix. its a calabration thats done in terminal. works better that when it was when i didnt have it rooted! thank you. if anyone has this problem, ill be glad to share the link....or just search the forums

Jedi ROM - Stuttering Video and Choppy Playback

Hi guys,

I am having stuttering / choppy video playback with this ROM. This did not occur with my stock ROM. The sound also cuts out during video playback at times. I tried a reboot to no avail.

Any suggestions on resolving this?

Don't know if you've fixed the issue yet..but you might try the new Google camera from the play store ???

It's a good interface and has corrected several other issues forum wide....g

I really wanted this rom to work, it worked perfectly fine on my T-mobile Note 2, and even on the Note 3, but on the Korean Note 2 (SHV-E250S) that my wife has, it has been nothing but trouble. I've read that AT&T roms will work for this device, and at the moment, this is one of very few roms that will flash to the device.

Anything else, will not.

She doesn't want to go to 4.2.2 because of the profiles feature and emulated storage, and she hated 4.4.2 so much because of the sd card restrictions and the lack of anti-shake/image stabilization that she gave me her brand new Note 3, and got a new Korean Note 2 instead.

The camera in this rom, quite simply, does not work, no matter what. When you launch it, the screen stays black, and it says that the camera has failed, and closes.

We have tried redownloading the rom, thinking that it was a bad download, and flashing the one downloaded via torrent. - That didn't work.

We have tried replacing the version 1.5 camera in this rom, with a backup of the 2.0 camera from the Frosty Jellybean v8 rom on her T-Mobile Note 2, and that didn't work either.

We have tried flashing this rom without the SJKernel and it wouldn't boot.

We have tried wiping everything, and then flashing, and wiping everything again, and the camera still did not work.

We have tried clearing the data, like others have said, and the camera still did not work.

We have tried dirty flashing and the camera still did not work.

Also, when she tries to run the Flashlight/Torch, it causes the SystemUI.apk to crash. After it crashes, the notification area resets itself.

We have tried everything, and the camera still did not work.

It is not a hardware issue, because the camera in the Korean rom she reflashed, and had originally, worked perfectly.

We haven't been able to figure this one out, and she has decided to carry both of her Notes, so that she can use her T-mobile one for the camera since it is lighter than her digital camera. And the extra space on the Korean Note 2, is enough to keep her happy with this rom, even though she loses the two things she used the most on her old one.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Hi, just flashed the rom today and restore one of my app, however the restored app is keep on crashing. The screen seems to be zoom and unresponsive.

Man I don't know what happened or what was goin on. I have been using the Jedi series sine the note came out, currently running JediXP12 with it's include kernel. It has been ROCK SOLID. I decided to try this new rom, yeah...not so solid. Did all the steps, Factory reset, wipe everything, install rom, waited 20min etc. It installs fine, correct modem selected(att). Works fine for about 15min then the mobile date drops(circle with slash), the wifi wont connect(just loops through connecting, authenticating, saved, secured) continuously. Never will actually connect. NO it is NOT my router. I have noticed the APN does not hold it's settings, Under APN in the name section it should say phone but it blanks out on it's own.

So I am back on XP12 and it all works like before. I am contemplating going to 4.3, though that takes alot of work coming from 4.1.2.

Im akso on jedi 4.1.2 and want to upgrafe to 4.3 jedi so i can use my gear fit but i have no idea where to start i sont want to lose the aws mod because i use tmobile sim

I tested Jedi 4.3, there's no issues with it, why exactly are you hesitant to run it?

To be clear, I see you state you don't want to lose the AWS mod, but I'm curious why you think you would

hello all. I did some searching but was unable to find the definitive answer i was looking for. I am currently on a t mobile t989. running jedi x20. running 3.0.101 -saberkernel 47. Baseband t889uvucMK7. However we recently switched carriers. I was wondering if I should be flashing a different modem to get the most of our at&t connection. And if so which should I be looking at. I am seeing some in section three of this thread http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1987541 . My gf also switch here tmobile s3 to at&t at the same time . shes running wicked v10. Thank you all for your time and input.

returning to 4.1.2 from 4.4.2

I am currently on stock 4.4.2 ROM, wanted to revert back to Jedi x20, but unfortunately when i try to flash this ROM i am unable to flash... it gets stuck at the boot animation,

can some one advice how to revert back

Reason: find 4.1.2 (and Jedi) to be much faster and batter life is much much better. There is not much change in the UI or other features anyways.

Killer ROM...man I should have rooted this bad boy when I first got it. Ran all the kitkat tw ROMs and also aosp ROMs and this one is great on yhr battery so far. Only wish there was one that was based on 4.3 but this is smooth and amazing. Thanks a lot.

I was using "openrecovery-twrp-2.7.1.0-t0lteskt.img" is this a culprit?
