Folks,
I been on X17 for at least 6 month if not more and loved it. When I saw X20 released for a while, I decided to upgrade last week and did a fresh install. However, I had several App crashes in GMail, Avia and few other that I never had before. My screen sometimes won't turn on with the power key and the dial-pad sometimes experience delays. Anyone else have the same issue? Any suggestions? Should I do another fresh install of the X20 ROM? Appreciate your feedback and suggestions!

I had the same thing happen...I was on X17 for the longest time...best rom I had ever ran on any phone I've owned. I then, like you upgraded to X20 and had nothing but issues...I trace it back to when everything was made into "one size fits all" rom, meaning att,tmobile,sprint, and verizon all in one zip file. A lot of weird crashes, and my phone would never recognize that it was a verizon phone, so I couldn't use NFL mobile or verizon mobile to pay my bill. Battery drain was INSANE. Unfortunately I brought these issues up to many of the people involved with this rom and nothing was even acknowledged about it, so I am now upgraded to 4.3 and using other roms.

I have been on this rom since it first came out, I don't have any issues with the Verizon app or NFL moble. Only issue I have is when you try to set a notification background picture it will forceclose. Battery life is great for me.

GPS Keep searching

Hi

Phone: Verizon Galaxy Note II I605

I installed Jedi x20 and previously I installed Jedi x13 and x19.
All have the same issue with GPS searching when I load up Google Map or Waze.
The GPS can't seem to lock.

I have checked Settings/Location services/ all three items: 1) Use wireless networks 2) Use GPS satellites 3) Location and Google search

I have tried the Jedi ROM Tricks/GPS Quick-Fix and that didn't resolve the issue.

The GPS still searching. When using google map or waze, the location marker is off and seems stuck as I drive.

Any suggestions?

I'm still learning. I do not know what dirty flash is and I'm assuming I have not done that. How do I do that?

Flash a rom that you know the gps works, get it set up to where you know everything works and then flash the jedi rom without wiping anything. (Dirty flashing) I know they say always wipe, if it doesn't work always revert to your first back up of the stock rom.

Do you have any suggestions on which dirty roms I can try that has gps that works well? I have tried dirty flash from kitkat gummy to jedi x20. When installing jedi x20 completes, the loading remains stuck on the main start, showing Jedi X logo. I might have gotten the whole procedure wrong. Any help would be great.

Stick to a 4.1 rom, kitkat is a 4.4 and require more steps to do. Now that I think about I do not anything about other roms, this one works for me so I stayed. Try beans 4.1.2 rom if it is still out there. I hear he makes decent roms.

I did a full wipe and clean flash and the issues seems disappeared. I had been on X20 for a many month now and it's working great. You might want to give it another try.

Privacy Apps Recommendation

Has anyone tried LBE Privacy Guard? I installed it and it crashes where my phone becomes unresponsive. Any other privacy app you can suggest?

Using the latest version, tried 3 different modems no change. I have the correct APN settings and i'm still not getting cellular data. I've got a VZW Note 2 and i'm using AT&T. Works fine with Ditto ROM.
