I cannot install magisk for Root .
After I flashed Magisk_patched image and reboot , it stuck at Mi Logo and then just Blank screen.
I have read Instructions from Topjonwu official page and also from this thread many times but it still stuck at Mi logo
Steps I have tried
- I extract Boot.img with adb
( from OP instructions from this thread)
- then I patch that boot.img image in Magisk app , choose let's go , and I get Magisk_patchedblahblah.img
- then I reboot into fastboot mode
- I open shell command in platform tools
- then I flash with fastboot flash boot magisk_patchblahblah.img
But then it stuck in Mi logo
Stucking at mi logo can be solved by flashing Arrow OS zip file but No root was installed
Please help

Yep I'm using boot.img from arrow os.. I also tried with boot.img from arrow os recovery link in this thread https://sourceforge.net/projects/kubersharma001/files/nabu/ArrowOS-Recovery/
But it also stuck in Mi logo
Could you solve it now and rooted ?
I haven't tried sideloading Magisk.zip though , I just manually install magisk apk and get magisk patched image .. I don't think it's the problem may be I tried that way tonight
I'm also using Vanilla version arrow 13 ... Due to vanilla ?

No, this shouldn't be the problem. Try Sideloading Magisk. Should work on any Version. It has rooted my device successfully.
Do you extract boot_a or boot_b? In my case i have 2 boot on boot_a and boot_b, then i patch them in magisk apk, then flash them one by one with fastboot
Wow that's work .. I thought instructions said we can either sideload magisk.zip or install APK right? ... Did I misunderstood? I still think that way when I read back
sideloading will install magisk app .. so i thought why take complex way .. just install APK to install magisk app ...Now I just sideload magisk.zip although I already install magisk APK file ..and it rooted immediately..

Really? I haven't play game in mi pad 5 yet , I mainly use for reading , watching movies .. that's why I need root for dolby Atmos , GMD gesture control .. may be future updates will fix that
When streaming the display to my big TV via Screen Mirror function the resolution is really bad.
Any way to change the settings im ArrowOS, can't find it?
Edit: the same poor resolution on the tablet when watching 4K videos on youtube, so must be something with the video codecs?

anyone can use gmd gesture control? it's not working when I try , the only shortcut it work is go to home screen ......

Which game do you freeze? I can play mobile legend with high graphic setting for over 1 hr without any problem
Actually every game. I tried like 6. And some other people have the same issue. I've reinstalled ArrowOS several times.
Any information?? I don't want that gaming bug. Screen keeps freezing in games and sound disappears every few seconds.
anyone encountered here no sound on notification and alarms even when I turned off silent mode and do not disturbed and all volumes maxed out.
actually this happens when I install dolby. anyone figured out how to fix this one without disabling dolby?

For me, ArrowOS has almost twice as much screen on time as MIUI - only custom ROM I've tried so far1
You have two simple methods
1.adb sideload magisk.zip
2. Pull boot.img, patch it using magisk APK, flash the patched boot.img boot(fastboot flash boot boot.img ). [This method need platform tools and twrp recovery to pull boot.img from custom or miui rom in general]1Recently tried switching to Arrow but can anyone help with why am I getting Android system intelligence force stopping every 2 mins? -

What firmware to use? Any that works for you if you can't decide to use whatever your region 's fw is. I see a lot of people blindly flashing CN fw.

I do not own the Xiaomi Keyboard, it seems the latest changes broke it for some users which should be fixed in the latest release.
A lot of people are asking me if this is a good tablet for art or not. I am a simple man and have very basic tablet needs. I do not own a pen (too expensive) nor can I draw something good.
