I received yesterday my ROG 2 with WW version. It shows as Android 9 and security patch of June 5.
as software version it is the WW_16.0622.1906.19_0.
I checked for OTA updates with no success... when it boot the default language is CN. How can I verify that version has already the ASUS fingerprint and can get OTA?
Did you suggest to update as by that thread to the latest release? In that case, can I get OTA?

You need 3 Steps Only
1- Unlock Bootloader [apk]
2- Flash The ROM [Fastboot] Then Factory Reset
3- Relock Bootloader [Fastboot] Then Factory Reset (Optional)
Now We will Go

How To Go to Fastboot
Power Off your Phone Then Hold [Power + Volume up] For 5 Seconds
You will see Black Screen + Green START [This is Fastboot Mode]
Now Link your Phone With Your PC
** Use the Side Type C in your Phone
** Use Windows 64bit Only
** Use Original Cable or any other like it.
** Your Battery more than 50%
Your PC Shoud recognize your Phone as [Asus Fastboot Interface]
Now Your Phone in Fastboot Mode + link With your PC as Asus Fastboot Interface
Go to Folder: Fastboot ROM UL-ASUS_I001_1-ASUS-16.0622.1907.33-1.1.134-user
In any blank place inside the folder
In PC keyboard press the Shift button + right mouse Click
You will see New command [Open PowerShell window here] or [Open Command here]
Now inside the Blue Screen or Black Screen
Copy This Command one by one
fastboot flash abl abl.img
Then Enter
fastboot flash aop aop.img
Then Enter
fastboot flash asusfw asusfw.img
Then Enter
fastboot flash bluetooth bluetooth.img

Important Note: Relock the bootloader immediately after installing the Fastboot ROM is Wrong & you need to let the ROM to work normally first Then you can Lock the bootloader.
Or you will see [Slot _a is unbootable] & to FIX this you will need RAW ROM
Only if your Phone work normally you can Relock it

Phone in Fastboot Mode + link With your PC as Asus Fastboot Interface
Go to Folder: ZS660KL Relock Bootloader

Hi, i just got my WW variant yesterday running .1906 but I already updated it via OTA to .1908. Would like to ask if what files should I use that would not give me any wifi problem like what others experienced. I want to root my device and debloat it. Thank you
I am running WW 1908 after my first update. Looking to unlock the boot loader but Asus only provides a boot loader unlock apk for 1907. does anyone know if using 1907 boot loader unlock on 1908 WW firmware is functional?

I've got my ROG on Aliexpress and it came with the ww 1906.19.
I do the first step and it worked.
When I come to Second step, my device manager says that it is "ASUS bootloader Interface" and at the folder it isn't have the POWER SHELL option.
Can someone help me please?
Curious, why are you following this guide if your ROM is WW and fingerprint is WW? you can just download the latest WW update from Asus website and put it in root directory of your phone and restart the phone to update, ... correct?
If i am not mistaken, this guide is for people with CN ROM and/or fingerprints
