If your talking about updating with OTA read the op where it says note 2.

This is because the kernel that is packaged with this is pre knock on code. You will need to flash a kernel that is compatible and has the knock on code updated.

where did you find the 20y kdz???

I don't found a v20y kdz... But I have an advice for you.
First, do a complete backup of your phone with TWRP if you are in v20... (sysem, data, efs, cache, etc.),
then flash with lg flashtool the v10k kdz (I think is the v10k or v10c, I dont know),
after that, update the phone via OTA until you are in v20y (cause the first update is to be in v20c, then you will be in v20k, and finally you'll be in v20y)
and finally root with stumproot for restore your backup (but only data, cache, and efs, because if you restore system the phone will brick, or bootloop)
Obviously for have a custom recovery, you will need use autorec for have it.

I cant take OTA updates since i'm not in the usa and i dont have an at&t sim, i bought this phone in amazon and the seller sent me this one unlocked :/

My phone it's unlocked too, and I am not in USA... And when I flashed the v10 kdz, I could update it yet. Obviously, you have to have an Internet conection for this.

Please try this:

adb shell
su

dd if=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/system of=/sdcard/system.img

takes very long time, then do boot.

dd if=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/boot of=/sdcard/boot.img

Then reboot and upload to mega?

Stock D80020k recovery.img??

I have been looking all over for a TOT of D80020k to see if i could find the stock (no twrp, the recovery the comes factory with the phone) so that i could return the phone and do my ATT Next upgrade.

There is a fairly simple method to restore stock without a computer (something i am lacking at the moment) the method can be found here.

All i need to do is find the recovery.img for D80020k...anyone have this?? Or even the tot for D80020k?? Ive been searching on here non stop for 2 days just so the mods dont say.."Search beofre u post." IVE SEARCHED EVERYWHERE

Doesn't that link you posted to the thread contain what your requesting already??? I'm pretty sure the recovery isn't reliant upon the version of the ROM.

No it doesnt. Im about 98% sure you cannot flash a recovery for a different firmware version. Each tot/kdz file has a specific recovery for the specific version.

The other thread has it for 20D but not 20K....also 20D fails when i flash it in recovery since it is JB and you cant back flash to JB from KK. If i could flash 20D then this would have been done awhile ago.

The only stock rom that works when i flash it is the 20K version.

I got AT&T G2 with andriod 4.2 and unlocked it and rooted it using ioroot 10. I did 2 OTA update from AT&T and now my version showing 4.2.2 and Build # JDQ39B & Software version - D80010q.

I wanto now install this ROM D80020K. I read through entire forum and I figure out I need TWRP and KitKat BaseBand then I am good to go with this ROM. I have downlaoded KitKat baseband but I don't know how to update baseband from original Korea base band M8974A-AAAANAZM-1.0.190034.

Please help me with these :
1. Do I need to update baseband to KITKAT base band and if answer is yes then how should I do it. I have downloaded zip file.
2. How do I instal TWRP on my G2. Where to download files and guide to that.
3. After flashing this ROM how can I get my apps and data back. I don't want to loose my pics and apps that I havw now. I don't want to reinstall all apps again.

Please guide me .

So, basically you are extremely lazy and expect someone else to do all the work for you? This is a developer forum. You have to at least read and be willing to teach yourself some basic things. There are many, many guides out there to do what you want to do. Try searching.
