Again, I am extremely impressed with this ROM. No more resorting to using EDGE due to terrible signal out where I live. My phone gets nearly full signal on 3G, now, so I can stick with it instead of eating up battery while my phone searches for a connection. Thanks again, brah. My flashing days are over (except.for the updates).

Italosnt,

Are you considering using OTA to alert us of a new update like cm7 stable is supposed to do?

I can upload it normally. It might be a particular case. Try install facebook again and test it.

Here it works normally. Do wipe cache and dalvik, fix permissions and try again.

How does the temperature control system work exactly? My phone turns into a hot potato when playing light games so I don't think it works
It doesn't let your phone overheat, but it can not do miracle lol. You can see the difference between your phone with this rom and with another one easily. I have no problem with temperature anymore.

It's in my list. I want to see how it works and if it's stable. I need to study it first. It's not confirmed and not discarded, it's in analysis :)

Sorry, but temperature control? It's already on board in the hardware. Your phone is going to shut off, hopefully before heat damages anything. The only thing any software solution can do is monitor it and shut stuff down at a different time per the programmers preference. Proper optimization of kernel and OS/applications will have exactly the same results. I never had a problem with temperature ever with 1.0GHz kernel, undervolting, and proper OS/app management.

Thanks for the reply, I can definitely see the difference between this and other roms.

My phone does shut off when overheating, I guess it works that way. Thanks for the reply.

I'm not undervolted however. I read somewhere that undervolting below 750 causes the one of the cores to shutdown so I didn't wanna mess my phone up :p

Yep. Those are the better words i found to explain how it works in a little space. It is an system application found in another device (don't remember which one) that monitors phone's temperature and regulates internal phone's devices to "equilibrate" the temperature again. I think it might works like: if it is hot enough, underclock it, stop this, slow that. Of course, if you keep doing what you were doing, it will heat each time more, but it will heat slower than without it. I'm not sure about all i said, i don't even know if this all is possible. But i saw it working, i saw the difference with and without it and decided bring it to you. Well, it makes my phone works better, so it's doing anything good :)
