I am not sure. I can not tell what version of the recovery is. I just re-installed the stock ROM to recover the tablet.
When you load the TWRP, the splash screen will tell you what version and once you're in the TWRP at the top of the main page it will have the
version number.

Pic to follow.

I don't think I have ever got to the recovery menu to see the TWRP version. When I push the VOLUME+DOWN and the power button, the table reboot to the screen with 3 icons, RCK, Android and Wipe. Then when I click RCK, I get the error right away, not even goes to recovery screen. Here is the screen output when it fails.
Key driver not found.. Booting OS
Android cardhu-user bootloader <1.00 e> released by "WW_epad-10.6.1.27.1-20130711" A03
Starting Fastboot USB download protocol
Booting recovery kernel image
Booting failed
Unrecoverable bootloader err (0x00000000).

Since my tablet currently is at stock ROM 10.6.1.27.1, I might try the the Stock to 7.1 thread. If I have any questions, I can post them there and you can answer there. The Stock to 7.1 thread thread is more appropriate for my update.
Finally, I am able to install the KatKiss Nougat 7.1.2_026 and it works flawlessly. Thanks for all the helps. Merry Christmas to everyone.Without a working TWRP I wouldn't. Do you have a Windows 7 computer/laptop handy, you will need to install "minimal adb and fastboot" on the computer/laptop so you can flash TWRP from the Windows 7 system.
Minimal ADB and Fastboot: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790
Once you can access the TF from a computer/laptop you can get a working TWRP on it, you have the correct bootloader on it now but I didn't know
you lost the recover console.

Hi everyone, I messed up my installation of AndroWook and I was wondering if somebody can help me turn back time.
What I did is install AndroWook (JB 4.2.1, HairyBean v2.31) on the TF201. Then many years passed and then I got back to the TF201 and wanted to install another ROM. I had forgotten about AndroWook so I flashed a custom TWRP (for TF201), which I could get into but then it asks me for a password, and can't seem to mount the partitions. It's a very similar situation to what is described here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2480790 with the exception that I could get into fastboot mode. But when I am there, flashing has no effect. I tried to flash another TWRP and it says it's completed, but then when I boot into recovery nothing has changed.
Does anybody know what is the best way to return to having a functional TWRP? I am fine with the one from AndroWook - I suppose I could take the ZIP and try to flash it from my current TWRP but I hesitate because it doesn't seem to be working well so I worry it would brick the device.
Any help most appreciated! Have a great day everyone.
You are wiping the recovery partition before flashing the correct TWRP? [fastboot erase recovery]
NP
I didn't, actually (sorry I am really new to this). So I should run that command before flashing TWRP? And can you advise me at this point, which TWRP should I flash? One from AndroWook or one from dl.twrp.me/tf201/ ?
Thanks, appreciating your help a lot!
Yeah wipe the recovery before flashing a new one, the newest TWRP can be found here;

But you must be on BOOTLOADER version: 10.6.1.27.1 for the TWRP to work.

Hi guys. I followed the steps and migrated to F2FS file system by following Hund's tutorial, that can be found here : https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=52563206&postcount=1440 . Everything went smoothly and succesfully. The only weird thing i noticed was at step 10. "Restore the nandroid you made on your MicroSD card." While restoring ( data included) i noticed that it says "Running exfat4 functions" i was like whaaat ? Did i just went back to exfat4 by restoring everyting from the backup ( System, Boot, Data) ? Should i repeat the whole process and exclude restoring the Data from the backup ? Am i really on F2FS system now ?
However if i've done everything correctly, here are my impressions after 3 days of usage. I can't say the device has become "snappy" or "fast". Yes, there is a difference. Yes the simple tasks like opening the App drawer, sliding the home screens (left <-> right), opening the Settings menu are faster than before, BUT other normal tasks like opening ( using ) Google Chrome, Maps are still slow and laggy. The firs time i installed HairyBean two years ago the device was the same, even a bit faster. F2FS did bring some life into the device but i can't say i am astonished. My Prime still sucks, sadly. I remember the days when i could browse the web smootly, play cpu demanding games like SixGuns, DeadSpace, etc with ease. Yes i know that the apps have changed and Maps, Chrome are bloated now but still i wish they perform at least normally on the TF201.
5 weeks later ...
The Prime is ok. I've gotten used to fast devices since i moved to Xperia Z series after the dissapointing Asus experience. I've started using the TF201 on daily basis and even though it's a bit slow it's ... fine. If you have the keyboard (docking station) it's event better because it becomes a classy looking laptop with a touch screen that still looks cool and modern.
