no errors from twrp, everything seems to be ok after flashing but I don't have root (kerner adiutor and advanced system settings not working). kernel was installed also without issues.

Flash supersu from twrp, for me working fine.

This is strange.

I reflashed the ROM, the boot and no root (not in shell or reported by Kernel Adiutor.

I reflashed the ROM, SuperSU (let it patch the boot in the image), no root.

I reflashed the ROM, SuperSU and the boot image (1.0 and 1.1) and no root.

Scratching my head here.

EDIT: Retrying nor removing that su.img.

Did you delete the su.img from data first? And then reboot after the first boot?

Boot into recovery (twrp) open files and goto data, scroll to the bottom, click on su.img, click delete

Reboot then once it started up reboot

Check root works on second boot

I really want to to try this but the whole process for getting TWRP, removing parts of the img and people unsure if it's even flashed has me concerned I'm going to fry my watch as it seems a bit disjointed? No offence, I probably just need to do more research.

I was thinking the same yesterday. I tried this morning and everything was much easier than expected.

@firegoblin , i think you need to delete su.img only if you flashed the kernel in its 1.0 version (which has a problem in root script). And you need to erase it before to flash v1.1, not after.

If you're flashing this Ext4All ROM from scratch (from stock), then directly the kernel (v 1.1), you don't need to erase the su.img (it should not be there anyway). Just flash the ROM, then the kernel and reboot (and reboot again to gain root).

It's there any visible way for me to tell if the rom even flashed? I don't have busybox or supersu in my app drawer.
The better way to know that the ROM has been flashed is to wipe /system before to flash. If it boots, you're on Ext4All.

I had the SU.img still after reboot.

This is normal.

You need to delete su.img file only if you flashed the v1.0 of the kernel.

From what you wrote earlier, you flashed the ROM then immediately the kernel in v1.1, so you don't need to erase su.img .

su.img is part of the root process, you don't have to erase it.
