I tried re-download the patch, same thing.
So can anybody please help me? The 0.8 was installed clean with wipe.
Here are md5 checksums:

40a9f93c0fc63f128711667812a69db3 b-0.8.zip
4c9baaa757d902532383d5b427959758 patch_b-0.8.4.zip

...check both.

Well, I just tried applying the patch 0.8.4 again, still with no luck. It said:

Verifying current system....
assert failed: apply_patch_check ("/system/app/HTCSetupWizard.apk", "[a bunch of numbers in this part]")
E:Error in /sdcard/patch_b-0.8.4.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted

I tried re-download the patch, same thing.
So can anybody please help me? The 0.8 was installed clean with wipe.
This happened to me too...still didn't find any solution.

MODs

Anyone know how to remove Circle battery MOD and Espresso Lock Screen MOD and replace with stock?
Patch or apk would be nice.
Also, is anyone using HTC IME Mod in this ROM? F/Closes by me, even the Froyo low res version (2.7).

I flashed this rom (It's the best stock alternative, thank you BlaY0) and I do get the ads showing up in apps. Do I need to do something extra to my rooted Legend to get the adfree to work or I just didn't do everything correctly? :p

I tried searching the thread before posting but I didn't find something answering my question. Sorry if it has been answered and I missed it.

If you have s-off just install adfree from the market.

Extract rom.zip from RUU. Then extract boot.img and system.img from rom.zip. Put those two images on your sdcard. Boot into CWM and do adb shell. Inside the shell execute "flash_image system /sdcard/system.img" and "flash_image boot /sdcard/boot.img". I think that should do it...
