The Rom is very stable, but its sometime laggy so have to wait 5-15sec until operations showing a result or to start an App. What can it be? Data2ext is enabled with a 16gb Class 6 Card

from my experience data2ext makes the rom really fast but laggy
I would say leave the data2ext and use a2sd

I have reflashed the Rom with wiping data/dalvik and activated a2sd instead of data2ext. Now my Legend works very fine and fast

Sent from my HTC Legend using XDA App

Sup guys. Was wondering if anyone else was having problems with force closes trying to open the Sound part of Settings? I get force closes every time I try and open it.

Would clearing dalvik-cache solve this or am I going down the wrong road completely?

Data2ext is not laggy, your card is not fast enough... There are mayor differences between one and another class 6 cards!! My A-data card class 6 8Gb is performing very very well no lag at all!! Larger cards are mostly also slower despite of being class 6, so try an other card is the best advise when you like to use data2ext without lag :)

For what it it, i Still use Blyo's 0.7 Rom, battery use is when doing nothing only 2 or 3 percent :)) I have completely adjusted all system proggies and made what was possible black adjsuted smileys, framework-res.apk and com.htc.resources.apk

Use Blayo's adjusted CWM update zip and format your ext partition with it< speeds it up verry well, besides that Blayo wrote a great guide on how to partition your SD card with ext partion, follow that thread and all will work extremely well>> Blayo, Rom is very very stable thanx :) !!

First don't use the reboot option in B.0.8 or B.0.8.4 it will break your ext partition!! Secondly, no swap is needed, reed the first pages!! format your card as said and stated at the first page and read it well and choose what ext (2 or 3 or 4) you need for a2sd can't remember using data2ext for ages and like it a lot more :)

Best rom setting

Hi guys,
i'm a new legend owner... I like this rom but what are best setting to:

- avoid battery drain (underclock?)
- partition of 4Gb class 2
- stable setting for daily use (longevity)

Many thanks :)

Are you planning on updating this ROM? :)
Also which is better - using a2sd or data2ext ? also in order to use a2sd we need to use dark tremor script?
Depends on your SD Card. When using a A quality class 6 SD data2ext is working great, smooth and no lag, lag is coming when using a slower, lower quality SD Card.

When you have a lower class SD card use apps2SD It works great Too, read the first post on how to partition your SD and all will be working like it should! :)

Both data2ext and apps2SD are already built in and ready to use, when having your SD card partitioned you can activate either one with a terminal emulator on your phone. After activating, shut down and put on your phone.
(When using data2ext do not! use a restart, it will break and stop data2ext!!.....also after activating and using data2ext, a restart instead of shutdown will possibly break data2ext)

This rom still is really speedy!! no updating required, I personalized every app in the rom and adjusted all coler in com.htc.resources and framework.apk and there are for example great ways of adjusting things/colors etc using a kitchen like http://uot.dakra.lt/kitchen/

Using the rom with launcher pro (free or paid) will get you speed, stability and battery will last for several days when doing nothing and when using it you always will see battery lasting goes down quit a bit, a disadvantage of android, not rom related....

So from this I'm assuming data2ext gives you a lot more free internal memory than app2sd? Right?

Can you please link me to a tutorial to activating data2ext? BTW - I have the ext4 partition on SD card already.

Thank you :)

Problem with a2sd

Dear BlaY0,

I'm having a problem with the a2sd. I partitioned my SD card using CWM 5.0.2.0 into ext2 and fat partition. Then I used the adb shell command to enable a2sd. Now the thing is that although the 'adb shell a2sd --free' command shows that I have a lot of free memory on the sd card, its not showing free internal memory in the Storage section of settings. Please tell me if I have done things right or is there something that needs to be done in a different way.

Thanks and best wishes

Aashir

P.S. Awesome work on the rom, but I think its due for an upgrade.

This is because apps2SD does not show the extra space you obtain from the partition you create.

It's data2ext which does that. ;)

Hello there,

I've installed the latest version of this ROM on my Legend.

I've created an ext3 partition with GParted, and enabled a2sd. I can see some folders and apps on the ext3 partition - it seems to work.

I would like to use A2SDGUI, but when I start it I get an error message, saying that
1 - Your device is not rooted
2 - A2SD Scripts could not be found
3 - No EXT partition found.

Has anyone ran into this problem? Any idea / hint to where this could come from?

Cheers,

JPascal.
