But be careful, some files (even images) have to be stored inside with no compression!
My Batt Mod that worked in B0.7 does not work here...do the batt-stat images have to be zipped with no compression?
Could you recommend those programs for png optimization (batch optimization is preferred :) ) Thanks!

In original they are stored. In fact I think all pngs are just stored.

I use pngcrush or optipng... but that's on Linux.

Thanks! Both are for Win as well, I just ran them all through optipng and it works :)
How do I make only some parts of the archive stored and others compressed?
Or should I make the whole archive just stored?

If you just open the .apk in winrar without unzipping or whatever and copy the new pngs in, then select "store" for compression method, it works fine

I just upgraded to 0.8 from 0.7, and when I hold down the power button to power off, it reboots to the 2nd bootscreen phase (the one where "quietly brilliant" starts to appear). Did I do something wrong?

I should probably take this moment to also ask, is there another way to power off? I don't want to pull the battery, too.

I had no problem with B08 shutdown. Are you sure you shutdown or reboot? Blay0 added a nice touch with the reboot option.

Ask yourself if 0.7 did support it, check changelog for 0.8 and compile yourself an answer from information you've got.
funny

I read the changelogs and searched the thread for "aac" before. There was only one hit (# 1615) - and the guy who asked never got an answer...

but okay... i'll flash 0.8 and try to set it up

But...now I have 0.7 with data2ext enabled...if I pass to 0.8:
- Do you suggest me to wipe?
- Will I have to enable again data2ext after the flash?
data2ext should be OK, no need to reenable but do nandroid befor you upgrade just to be on the safe side.

Hmm, I have never had a chance to test it. In fact I have never had a chance to test most of the stuff users suggested. I've tested and implemented like 3% of suggestions I guess ;)

EDIT: I guess it supports eAAC+ but not AAC+.

Is there anything I need to do/keep in mind before downgrading to 0.7?

By the way, just holding down the power button reboots the phone, no off menu appears.

You probably didn't wipe dalvik-cache as I instructed.
Opera mini 5 and 6 crashes on B 0.8. when i try to input adress.
Yep. This is the "feature" of HTC's 3.30 ROM itself. Unfortunately I have no idea on how to solve this one.

B.08 is perfect

Thanks a million Blay0 for this update.

The Rom is working perfectly with me, I used to have a problem with Wifi on 07 but it is now so much better with no hiccups on B.08
Very nice touch with the boot menu and the Arabic is what I was really looking forward to is perfect. I just one question, how do you switch to the Arabic keyboard? Swiping doesn't do it and there is no specific setting to toggle it. I have my local set to English (Egypt).
