if you go to the baked website and dload the 1st link (not the goo) it has an updated version of blackbean v5 with working recents. kudos to the OP for such a quick fix :highfive:

is that whyi got an alert on the updater? when i click it, it takes me to a page with changes and says downloading at the top, with a cancel button at the bottom. Shouldn't the dl icon pop up? where does it d/l to? Is there a way to ignore/cancel the reminder?

+1. Flashed a few hrs ago when I saw Trav post it was a go on twitter. Actually got ota for 5-1 from updater but md5 mixmatch so dled off the sites "link." All running great! Best rom!!:thumbup:

I still cant get my WiFi to work even after flashing the updated version of this ROM, its stuck on authenticating. I really wanna use this ROM but i need WiFi. I flashed a few other ROMs today n havent had any issues with WiFi at all except for this one.

Oh G-d, I just wish it would NOT be another blue colored clock, battery and wifi, signal and toggles interface. Is there any way to make a white text option pretty please?

No wifi issues here. I'm on wifi right now. When you flashed did wipe data, system, caches flash rom, flash apps? If you wiped all including system then maybe you have a bad download... or something is up w your wifi? I use kernel that comes w rom as others make call volume tooooo loud for me.. all has been fine on all BB releases on my end....Never any wifi problems or any major things wrong on any builds.. 5.1 is great! Tks again Trav & team Baked!!

Edit: I toggled volume back and forth a few times and did get it to regular level using kt747 kernel..

if your looking for a more black and white theme then id recommend the darkjelly theme. its a really nice theme, i used it on aokp and codename to satisfy my dark theme craving lol

If you are using nova or apex you may want to go into the settings for that launcher and turn down the scroll speed. I have not used the stock launcher so I do not know if that is a feature. I experienced the same thing on prior builds and that cured the issue. Never used a rom that was so fast that it was a issue but it's so smooth and fast that you may want to throttle that back.

Yes it was a clean install. My wifi has worked on every rom that i have flashed except for this one. It is working right now. I downloaded the ROM three times. The rom works fine except for wifi n thats not good for me since I need wifi. Idk wat the problem is. I guess no BB for me right now.

There isn't a specific answer. Just use whichever works best for you. It can be ICS or Jellybean firmware/modem

Modems/aka: radios can be different depending on where you are located...The leaked lif modem zip Strongsteve posted on his forum seems better for me. My data/3g speeds seem to have picked up a bit. I'm not the only one saying this so may want try it out, up to you im definitely staying on the leaked lif radios.

Loving the new update so far, thank you for this Rom. Love the fact that it has the option to show widgets before unlocking, for some reason aokp was missing that. And the option to have different users is awesome too...basically I'm loving it

im not seeing how those 2 things are linked? im not talking about the default recents, im talking about the recents options that aokp had in their ics build where you could select between sense 4 style, windows style, and the default. i was asking the OP if he had any plans on intergrating that into this rom. im sry if i didnt word it properly in my prior post

The people with Wi-Fi issues may try this kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1800576
I've always runned bb Rom with this kerner and I havent have any Wi-Fi or data related issue.
