I've been using V2 for a few days now and the only problem that I'm having is that I'll lose my wifi and/or bluetooth and all I have to do to fix is a quick airplane mode on and off and bingo it's fixed. Other than that...awesome rom!!!
Maybe try the ZV4/6 rpm,tz partitions in the stock thread.
Or even ##UPDATE# in the dialer.

Those 2 things seem to fix a lot of minor issues

Will this get themed like BarRin? I kinda liked the themed status bar and dock.
Eventually. Again we're dealing with a whole new OS in Lollipop.

If I deodexed it right then we can go forward. That's in the air right now because...
Apktool is still working out the kinks for LG and HTC from what I can find.
And LG does some screwing things with the apk's so that it's difficult to get them to de/recompile.
Like I've showed earlier, I have a broken Messaging app. It's only the statusbar part that is yellow still. But I need it to recompile to fix it. And that hasn't happened yet.

So just be patient for everybody to adjust to L, and we'll get some things out when we can.
It's all a new learning curve.

I don't think anyone begrudges you or the work you have amazingly accomplished. We however do fully believe (based on prior experience with your work) that you are a miracle worker/drug dealer we know you can deliver the fix we want. Some just have a hard time remembering that only a week has passed. You are a victim of your own awesomeness.

I'm just curious, but is there any way to make the quick settings in the notification panel only come down from a second swipe, instead of the first? I actually find it utterly annoying that LG didn't make it require a second swipe.

Fyi for all. I've been running BarePop TE V1 for 36 hours and it's been solid. I was on BarRin ZV6 before, wiped cache, dalvik, system & data. Flashed TE V1 & the SD card fix and I've not had an issue. So idk if that will help engine or anyone else but thought I'd post.

Since I'm new to LP, are the recent apps supposed to stay open after a reboot?

Also I can't get viper sound to run on this. If anybody has some tips PM me so we don't clog up the thread.

No apology's necessary. I didn't take it wrong at all. I took it just how you meant it.

So this is along the lines of our deodexing situation. We need to get the [email protected] apks to de/recompile. If we can do that, we can look into modifying them.

So here's where we're at as far as Deodexing/Theming. While there are png's that we can modify, any XML or smali files we can't fix. Yet
Will de/recompile: So these are editable.
LGCalendar
LGContacts
LGEmail
LGHome
LGInCallUI
LGTelecom

Will either not de/recompile, or will not run/work deodexed:
LGSettings - this is one of the first one's to get modified. Ususally
LGTeleServices - This is the dialer
LGUSMms - Stock messaging app
EDIT - LGSystemUI - fc'ing

I'm working on LGSystemUI to see if it'll work. I'll add an edit to this post if/when I figure it out.
@ghostshel you might be interested in this. ;)

Edit: And LGSystemUI will fit in the NOT category. So far

Thanks for the quick and very detailed reply! Take your time, man, I'm just glad to know there's a chance it's possible. I'm more concerned about speeding this sucker up. Stock LP seems kinda slow, heavy and sluggish on this phone, maybe it's just me, maybe it's just my device, I just wanna find a way to make it faster :p best of luck to you, however!

Lollipop isn't slow at all. It should be running better than ZV6 out of the box.
The tweaks I added only seem to be helping battery. I don't think we can speed it up anymore.

Go to Developer options and change the animation speeds if you really want fast.
I've noticed that's what a lot of CM/AOSP Roms are doing. So they seem super fast.

Yes, you are right. The newest Illusion build has spoiled me I guess.

Dove into zv8 last night and let me tell you..
LG has hidden proprietary resources necessary for decoding its framework.. trying to run down their location..
So in addition to what engine posted..
lge-res will not decompile for me

This is frustrating.. LG isn't making it any easier either with all the cloak and dagger crap.. :(

I've been using v2 the past few days. So far so good. Ui is fast, battery is good. I get the normal minor bugs ppl have been getting once in awhile. Not a big deal as they can be worked around, like how it shows wi fi on but its not connected. A good wifi off then back on, airplane mode or reset will fix. Its only happened 2x. Some apps don't reboot to recovery while others do. That must be the apps themselves and not the rom.
After i did install the rom from recovery i did have to take off the battery to reboot. It did scare me for a sec because this is my 3rd device root, so I'm still new to this. But after i pulled the battery it worked fine.
Thx for the great work. It saved me from the headache from trying that manual partition install. I look forward to seeing what magic you will do to this rom in the future. Thx so much^^

BarePop V2 issue and Xposed Alpha

Maybe try the ZV4/6 rpm,tz partitions in the stock thread.
Or even ##UPDATE# in the dialer.

That was the first thing I did. I think I may just go back to ZV6 rooted so I could at least enjoy the benefits of Xposed again at least until they iron out the bugs in the Alpha version for L. I even tried ##72786# to force OTA activation and that didn't help BUT I'm not complaining. I appreciate your help engine95. What are you thoughts regarding if I did a clean flash of BarePop V2 and installed the Alpha of Xposed framework before I install anything else? I know this isn't the forum for it but I'm not even sure if you have tried it on this rom or do you think it's smarter to go back to KK to use Xposed? Final question, is multirom even worth a consideration if I wanted a quicker way to go from an Xposed supported rom or should I stop being so damn impatient? Thank again for all your help and KEEP KICKING A$$ on THIS ROM!!! EXECELLENT WORK brother!!! Thank you!!!

I don't think recents are supposed to stay open. But then I'm I'm not quite sure what you mean.
Somebody's posted that Viper works, but I can't remember where I saw it. Hopefully you've gotten it figured out.

Thanks.
And I have no issues at all. This is the kind of stuff that drives me nuts. I wished I could figure out why some people have these issues. Big and mostly small.

Yeah, for the most part the battery pull is solved if you go back to the ZV4/6 rpm,tz partitions. But once in a great while it'll do it for no reason. But then, I'm also am constantly modifying something.

Maybe try the ZV4/6 rpm,tz partitions in the stock thread.

Thanks.
Obviously I'm biased towards BarePop so I'd say go for it. :D

As for xposed, just know that it's gonna have some issues with "stuff". It may work great for you, but not for someone else. I'm trying to stay away from xposed altogether. But it's tough.
If you're gonna go from KK to L, I'd flash the ZV4/6 rpm,tz partitions. TE has it already. That'll give you the fewest issues going back and forth.

As for Multirom, we can't use it with L yet. We need to have a kernel with the kexac patch and we don't yet.
Also we can't run stockish roms as secondary. They're too big.

This is the price we pay for getting/running the latest and greatest. ;)

Only way I could get it to work is change selinux mode to permissive. There's a free app called SELinuxModeChanger in the app store that can do it. Viper is working good for me.

Well I have themed framework, floating-app, and contacts..
I suppose I should go ahead and update to zv8 so I can test them...
I shall return presently... after I attend the preposterous affair that is zv8..

:fingers-crossed:
Whats the trick then? I can get stuff to de-compile but can't get it to compile. Even with no changes. Particularly messaging.

Well, I'm using V2 with Xposed and gravitybox (lp). It works for the most part with notification tweaks. That's about it. As I've posted before, setup your native hotspot (ssid and password) then install Xposed. Install a hotspot widget to turn on hotspot cause Xposed will make your "more" button in settings inoperable. Been running for a week with no issues. I don't need viper cause volume levels are good as is.
