ROM works well, but some of my apps disappeared without reason. Installed the ROM again and did the same, checked if they're where hidden on appdrawer but they're just unstalled. Any help? Thanks!

Someone else had this but I can't remember how they fixed it. I think it was a random app that caused it.

Question. Is anyone having issues with vibration feedback on the lg g3 keyboard?? The google one works as it should on vibration but I prefer the lg one. The lg keyboard has a much softer vibration, as if it's turned almost off.

I think there's a setting in the LG keyboard to adjust vib intensity. I don't use LG keyboard though.

I found an issue with putting someone on speaker during a call. When I do, they are basically muted on my end. The other person can hear me loud and clear, but I hear nothing. Taking them off speaker doesn't fix the issue either, I have to end the call and call them back. Anyone else having this issue?

Do you have "Voice enhancement" on? Turn it off. Not sure what else.

Anyone else get an error such as this one?

I am pretty sure it has something to do with permissions not being correct..
Engine, I am of course on the TE1.. havent changed much other than framework files, systemui, settings, and so forth...

I thought that swapping them in and out had possibly corrupted something, but I did a full wipe, minus internal/ext) and fresh install, and within minutes of rebooting fresh I got the error again. It will post this toasty like 20-30 times .. in like 2-3 min span., slowing my UI down to a crawl. Then it goes away for a while. Since that started though I cant download or upload files ftp or otherwise. I think the write to internal/ext card permissions are messd up somewheres.. anyways. I will try and get a logcat to you if I cat figure it out this morning.

You can remove the script and see what happens. platform.xml is what's modified for SDCard fix. It almost sounds like you sd got messed up.
Just throwing out some ideas. :silly:

does that wipe your phone? I remember reading about it but don't remember if it wipes everything.

Nope. This one is safe. I've had to use it a few times to fix WIFI calling.

Maybe try wiping app data and cache.
Settings>apps>all> LGKeyboard. Reboot and see if that fixes it.

But, after deodex process booting LG Security error.
I hope you give me to know in more detail the /system/framework( LG G3 Lollipop) folder deodex process.

Try removing that script first and see if it goes away. If so, problem solved for now.
Just pull your ext sd and see what happens. If your phone works, then you know it's the ext not int sd. Make sense?
Don't format ext sd in TWRP or Android! Only on a computer. When you find you adapter.
You may need to do a clean install. In post #2 or 3, I have the cleanest install you can get without Flashtool.

Try the 2 simple things first. Then maybe the clean install. We'll go from there later. Fair nuff?

Ummmm...yeah. LG has really screwed us on that one. I've been working on it for a couple weeks with no luck.
If you want, pm me and I'll tell you what I have done so far to get SOME theming done.

What version are you on? I think the only one that does what you want is V1.
I honestly don't think I even messed with what you want. But I might be having a braincramp.

I installed V2 but I did not apply any of the updates. Voicemail version is T.6.0.1.10

When I say "pull the AOK out" I mean pull it out of the image and post it so I can try to reinstall it.

Well, I was talking more about LG Keyboard and how to maybe fix that one.
The apk you can pull from any of the ROM's. /system/priv/app/Vtt Sprint is one of the apks. The other is in /system/app/TraditionalVM. You can pull those with adb or a rooted explorer. Permissions are rw-r-r for the apks.

As has been mentioned already. Try and clear both app caches, reboot, and wipe cache and dalvik. Let it sit for a few minutes and see what happens.
It may also be a Sprint thing on your voicemail. Might need to talk to them.

Other than that, clean install again, don't restore anything and see if the issues go away. Backup, then add your apps in slowly to see if one of those is the issue for either the Keyboard or Voicemail.

That's all I got. Nobody else has this issue, or has fixed it already. So it's not an issue with the ROM.

Well,

I removed the sql init script and also myext SD.. to my dismay, no difference.
The UI gets hung up on a blank screen with a spinner in the middle that never spins.
I have no way to move files from or to the SD card as any ftp/mtp/etc errors out during the installation/download.
I really need to wipe it all, as you said, but it isnt possible atm.
Guess I will keep digging.

I'll have a flashable boot animation for this uploaded tonight(hopefully). I'm still having issues with the looping part but its better than nothing. No serious issues, it works and looks great IMO but the second part doesn't want to loop, its weird.
Anyway - I have one more boot animation to finish for a buddy and then I'm gonna start work on a brand new kernel of my own design. Built with barepop in mind but will be for any zv8 stock based ROM. Stay tuned people, I'm getting back to work.......

SHAZAAM!! Success.. Removed the suspect script, set selinux to permissive, rebooted and cleared dalvik/Cache. Everything so far is back to norm. Thanks a ton engine.. Now i suppose i can upload this lil theme o mine..

This sounds like the SystemUi is messed up. I've installed different versions of it and it's played havoc with things for me too.
So if you modified it, Settings,framework,lge-res, they might not be playing nice together.

Turns out I had some poorly patched .9s in systemui. Anyway, the phone needed a good wipe. Man I forgot how drab zv4 looked... Almost makes LGs material look good.....

BarePop Bootanimation

I am posting this here because I don't have access to the additional files post. I could post in the op BUT, it looks like it hasn't been edited that way in awhile, it only shows the original download link, not v2, etc and I don't want to mess it up. So without further ado, here is a flashable zip for the BarePop bootanimation. Engine can update the additional files post later(or wherever he feels like placing it). Simply flash this in TWRP and you're done. First boot afterwards will take a second, don't panic - it wipes the caches, hence the long boot. You will also see android upgrading and cycling through your apps after this for the same reason. But after first boot you will now have a new custom bootanimation. I suggest making a nandroid backup in TWRP before flashing just in case - but it installed flawlessly for me. Enjoy!

Apologies if this is a dumb question. I can't seem to get my phone storage to mount on my computer. I'm currently running without SD card (took it out when updated to barepop since I never fill internal anyway). I could mount storage on rooted zv6 no problem.

The phone charges plugged into usb. I've checked to make sure it is not taking an already used drive letter on my computer. Different USB ports. Rebooted phone, and changed the storage setting back and fourth between charge, MTP, and PTP.

Do I need a new driver or maybe not having an actual SD card installed causing this?

Answered my own question...downloaded drivers from another thread and it mounted. Weird I didn't need drivers before updating to L.
