After 0.6 update, my laptop suddenly lost all Sound
The problem is solved by installing Viper FX for Android 7, or by returning to Prime OS 0.5.0
Attempting to run a liveusb of 0.5.2 Mainline on x64, the grub gets stuck in a loop
Go back to Prime OS 0.5.0 (the most stable version). Fresh Prime OS 0.5.5 and 0.6.0 after a couple of reboots overwrite the Windows bootloader. Only grub4dos and bootice can help

Go back to Prime OS 0.5.0 (the most stable version). I also had problems with the LifeAfter game (graphic glitches). They left after the Mesa 3D update. On Android 9/11, all games work great.

Known problems:
1. On build 0.5.0
- Auto-wifi connection does not work
- Android (suddenly) reboots when system language changes
- Sometimes sound does not work (solved by installing the application "SoundAbout")

2. On build 0.5.5
- After the first reboot, the sound completely disappears (the installation of the "Viper FX" application is solved before the first reboot)
- After the first reboot, the Windows loader is completely erased (the recovery of the boot EFI sector is solved)
- Do not start all/any games (if you disable or remove the Game Center) WTF is this?
- Many new games have graphic artifacts
- Bluetooth does not find headphones and joysticks
- When the system starts, Google Web View flies out with an error
- Google Chrome does not work and browsers based on it
- Play Market login is not working
- Annoying advertising (unsolvable)

3. On build 0.6.0
- After the first reboot, the sound completely disappears (the installation of the "Viper FX" application is solved before the first reboot)
- After the first reboot, the Windows loader is completely erased (the recovery of the boot EFI sector is solved)
- Many new games have graphic artifacts
- Bluetooth does not find headphones and joysticks
- Annoying advertising, Game Center can finally be removed via Root (no harm to game launch)

Recommendations for developers (build 0.6.5):
- Put the working Viper FX out of the box for sound
- Add working Bluetooth drivers to the kernel
- Remove unnecessary Game Center from build
- Fix Windows Loader Erasure (EFI)
- add Legacy mode support to Installer.exe |
- Change the mounting of the disk partition as a Remix OS |
- Give the System rw/rw (root) by default
Thanks

I'm using the latest version of Prime OS v0.6.1. Why does the message always appear at the start of booting:

ACPI Error: Needed type [Reference], found [Integer] ffffa050a6a1 a1f8 (20170728/exresop-103) ACPI Exception: AE_AML_OPERAND_TYPE, While resolving operands for [OpcodeName unavailable] (20170728/dswexec-461) ACPI Error: Method parse/executionfailed \_PR.CPU0._PBC, AE_AML_ OPERAND_TYPE (20170728/psparse-550)

and bluetooth not working either. When playing games like Free Fire sometimes it exits by itself, returning to the game center.

To play MOBAs such as Mobile Legends, when combined with the mouse when using the directional button skill, it will stop so the hero stops moving.

The rest I really like because there is no LAG while playing.

I'm using Asus K46CM Laptop and using ChromeOS Standard 64bit version.

Please solution for my problem.

Thank you.

I am using the latest version of Prime OS v0.6.1.
Please solve my problem.
Change Prime OS from 0.6.1 to stable 0.5.0
and then all the problems will bypass you.
Asus K46CM, which is on the Pentium b987 1500Mhz, right?
Plus for Mainline assembly recommended from 4GB RAM
Does a discrete graphics card or a built-in processor slow down?

I installed PrimeOS 2021-04-04

When connecting a bluetooth device, the settings app went blank. Now I cannot access the settings anymore and therefore can't reset the settings app. Reboot does not change anything.
All other apps (i.e. file manager) work. Is there another way to reset the settings app?
Thanks!

My primeOs Classic has no download space on PlayStore.

Yesterday, i installing this OS. Everything works very well except that when I want to download an application on playstore. It tells me that I don't have enough space, but i have 50% free storage.

20GB on disk partition.

What should I do to solve this?

Hi,

My name is José. I tried to install PrimeOS into my Samsung Ativ Smart PC 500T. After following all your instructions, and right after booting up to install it via USB, it gets stuck with the text saying: Trying to terminate efi services again.

Do you have a way that I can resolve it?

Thank you very much.

José
Hi there José,

Did you manage to fix it? And how? Im currently sitting with the same situation trying to install prime os.

Kind regards,
Herman

I had a similar issue with same error and I disabled FAST BOOT and updated the bios and it worked after that. This may not be same problem but it's what fixed the Trying to Terminate EFI error...

I have 2 issues with PrimeOS The first is root. I follow the instructions and yet it still says it is not rooted on a Fujitsu t901. The other issue is the main storage space. Upon install I tried to give it as much as possible but it only give 4 gb. This is an issue with an app that takes notes and wants to use main storage only. Any links or information would be appreciated.
My mod build based on the original, all issues have been fixed -> https://aopc.dev/r/prime-os-7-11.123/

Note: Use PrimeOS installer exe program for installing in windows systems. The download link is below. For non-windows systems, you can download our iso image and follow the steps below to install PrimeOS.

USB stick / Flash Drive guide:
    1. For this method, you need the Etcher / Rufus, PrimeOS iso file. We recommend you use a decent-speed USB drive (8GB or larger).
    2. For flashing PrimeOS to the USB drive, plug in your USB drive and launch Etcher / Rufus. Now select the PrimeOS iso file, create the bootable USB.
    3. Note: Be careful with the steps below and backup your data if you're not sure about what you are doing.
    4. For installing PrimeOS on your HDD/SSD/SDcard, first, create a new partition for PrimeOS ( suggested minimum size is 16GB ).
    5. Turn off the secure boot of your device and then boot up the PrimeOS USB by pressing Esc or F12, depending on your bios menu key, and selecting the PrimeOS USB to boot from.
    6. Select the ‘Install PrimeOS option from the GRUB menu.
    7. The installer will load, and you will have an option to choose which partition you created earlier. Choose it, and select Ext4 for formatting the drive.
    8. When it asks if you want to install Grub, select YES.
    9. When finished, the installer will then ask if you want to run PrimeOS, you can just reboot here, and make sure you remove the USB drive.

Do you already have PrimeOS and want to update manually? Read post #2851

Important announcement (Updated on Feb 16 2019)

Hello everyone, we will soon release PrimeOS 0.4.3, as you all know, we normally release both 32 bit and 64 bit variants, but starting from PrimeOS 0.4.3, this has changed, we will now have three variants depending on hardware, please read below very carefully and decide which one suits you best.

Note - We are not releasing OTA for 0.4.3 since we want every user to install the correct variant for their hardware.

    1. PrimeOS Mainline 64 bit (for newest systems 2014+) -
Use this variant only if you have a cpu which was manufactured in or after year 2014, For example -> [ Intel Core i series 5th gen or above OR Intel celeron N4000 OR AMD A8 7410 etc. ] Also make sure that your CPU has SSE 4.2 instruction support, just enter your cpu model on google and you can find all this info easily. This variant of PrimeOS will work well for both Intel and AMD GPUs, however, if you use a desktop and have a Nvidia GPU, you should not use this variant as it will cause lockups and will lead to freezes, but if you have a laptop, your Intel gpu will work well instead of Nvidia. In case you get any graphic glitches on this variant, you should switch to PrimeOS Standard.
This variant of PrimeOS will be using 4.19 kernel and 18.1.0 mesa, once you install this variant of PrimeOS, you will always get OTA of this variant only, in case you want to switch to the other variant (for older systems), you must re-install PrimeOS.
    2. PrimeOS Standard 64 bit (for newer systems 2011+) -
Use this variant only if you have a cpu which was manufactured in or after year 2011, For example -> [ Intel Core i series 2nd gen or above OR Intel celeron N3350 OR AMD A8 5550M etc. ] Also make sure that your CPU has SSE 4.2 instruction support, just enter your cpu model on google and you can find all this info easily. This variant of PrimeOS will work well for Older Intel, AMD, Nvidia GPUs.
This variant of PrimeOS will be using 4.14 kernel and 17.1.10 mesa, once you install this variant of PrimeOS, you will always get OTA of this variant only, in case you want to switch to the other variant (for older systems), you must re-install PrimeOS.
    3. PrimeOS Classic 32 bit (for older systems) -
Use this variant if you have a cpu which was manufactured before year 2011, For example ->[ Intel Core i series 1st gen or below OR Intel Pentium dual core OR Intel Pentium G620 OR AMD Phenom II X6 1100T etc. ] Just enter your cpu model on google and you can find this info easily. This variant of PrimeOS will work well for all Old Intel, Old AMD and Old Nvidia GPUs. This version will also work on 32-bit systems, In case you cannot boot this variant of PrimeOS, you should try using PrimeOS standard or mainline.
This variant of PrimeOS will be using 4.14 kernel and 17.1.10 mesa, once you install this variant of PrimeOS, you will always get OTA of this variant only, in case you want to switch to the other variant (for older systems), you must re-install PrimeOS.

    Hey guys,

Thank you all for giving us the support and love. Upon a lot of requests we are thinking about releasing an official 32 bit image.
Also there will be a new experimental build which will be coming with latest cutting edge linux mainline kernels i.e. it will be having the latest up to date device drivers.
The experimental build will not be inline with the current stable-BETA releases but will follow a different release pattern.

It will be coming with the following differences:

    • Latest PrimeOS system patches
    • Latest mainline kernel
    • Any new experimental PrimeOS system features

This will also help us making the OS stable in a faster and efficient manner.
    Stay tuned
