[ROM][BETA]LineageOS 16.0 for Redmi 3S/3X/Prime[land]

1. flash Lineage os official SU-addon.zip (for 16.0)
2. enable developer options
3. enable root access for apps and enable Local terminal
4. open terminal app
5. type
su
su persist.camera.HAL3.enabled 1
exit
6. reboot

test camera2api using app below

(you can flash SU-remover.zip to remove root )

edit:
- flashed addonsu-16.0-arm64-signed.zip
- enabled developer options, root for apps and local terminal
- typed in "su" and then "su persist.camera.HAL3.enabled 1"
- Got error Unknown id: persist.camera.HAL3.enabled
What went wrong?

Same error. It looks like this property does not exist in official LOS16 builds?
It was very easy to enable in LOS 15.1 by editing build.prop but this method doesn't work anymore.

persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1

or

persist.vendor.camera.HAL3.enabled=1

reboot and test if it works with app mentioned..!
even if error is shown.. if it works it works.

I got it working, you had small error in your tutorial. Correct command is setprop persist.camera.HAL3.enabled 1 and not su persist.camera.HAL3.enabled 1
Anyhow, does anyone know good working (pictures and video) gcam build for this ROM?

It's very strange. They're being released new firmwares almost everyday but since 6th November no lines in the changelog. What's wrong? Is it safe to flash the last firmware in this case??? I'm worried now.
Should I downloand the verstion from 06.11.19?

if there are no changes you don't need to update as simple as that
builds are processed automatically whether changes present or not !
in my case i update weekly :silly:

no bugs as such, total daily driver ?
Battery Backup is Satisfactory i get around 7-8 hrs of Screen on Time.
No idea about Volte, i don't use mobile internet ?
Forced Encryption is present, i don't want it so used dmverity disabler to disble it !

Overall Experience is Fantastic ! Thanks to developers :laugh:

This is the most stable rom which can be used as daily driver for redmi 3s prime (land). Flawless battery backup cannot be seen on any other roms. I used hotstar in WCDMA settings and received 9 hours of SOT. Thanks to the developer for maintaining this rom

My current PE ROM has the standby battery drain issue and the inability to use QuickSwitch Magisk module.

Thinking to switch to LOS.

Thanks. I flashed and I think this ROM is super smooth even better than 15.1. I am loving this. I hope no major bugs creep in future.

New build versions are created every nights, with or without changes... just wait the new official changelog for our phone to update your ROM..... Don't worry about that ^^

Thanks I got it but you're saying that new build versions are being created every nights with or without changes... But why the size of those firmwares sometimes increase or decrease (compared to the previous version) even if there's no changes? How to explain this anomaly?
For example:

Seems like there were no changes in 16.0-20191113 compared to the previus one 16.0-20191112
But you see the difference between 568.43 MB (16.0-20191112) and 568.49 MB (16.0-20191113)
Sometimes the difference is 5 or even 10 MB.

afterall gcams need to be found out by ourselves ! if it works for you it works, if not get another one!
